SAME TO ME...I CALLED BACK MR. STEVE MARTIN HE ANSWERS SAYING HELLO YOUR CALLING THE U.S. TREASUERY ,  I SAID NO YOUR NOT YOUR JUST A SCAM ARTIST I REPORTED YOUR NUMBER TO THE IRS SITE. HE HANG UP RIGHT AFTER I SAID THAT. YUPPP JUST A SCAM

Steve, that wild and crazy guy, just called me too and left a message. He was much funnier in 'The Jerk.' I didn't call back.

Steve Martin calling from the U.S treasury .left a vcm on my phone left number (929)8002205. first time i called back from this (716)279-6240 number he's been calling me from he answered as steve martin wanted to know my name... i was like if you are from the treasury whats the call for he gaved me a (716)9615100 number for me to call.after reading comments from this site very similar to mine, i called the second time he answered HELLO YOUR CALLING THE U.S. TREASUERY ,  I SAID NO YOUR NOT YOUR JUST A SCAM ARTIST I REPORTED YOUR NUMBER TO THE IRS SITE. HE HANG UP RIGHT AFTER I SAID THAT...

I got the same message 3 times today

Recieved 2 calls today, one before the allowed call time before 8 AM.  No name was left, but a heavy accented person told me it is a second attempt by the us treasury and that I am going to be charged and have to face a US court....and a bunch of other things that we don't have here in the US.  I have nothing agaisnt me and I don't get why I am recieving this call.  It comes from Buffalo NY.  I called back because I wanted to inform them they broke the US law and I was going to talk to me attorny about it.  But it rings and rings, goes to VM and then the VM box is full and I've ecountered an error.

If you get a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS, here’s what you should do:
If you know you owe taxes or you think you might owe taxes, call the IRS at 1.800.829.1040. The IRS employees at that line can help you with a payment issue, if there really is such an issue.
If you know you don’t owe taxes or have no reason to think that you owe any taxes (for example, you’ve never received a bill or the caller made some bogus threats as described above), then call and report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 1.800.366.4484.
You can file a complaint using the FTC Complaint Assistant; choose “Other” and then “Imposter Scams.” If the complaint involves someone impersonating the IRS, include the words “IRS Telephone Scam” in the notes.

Got a message on my machine from this number.  Someone identified himself as Steve Martin.  He stated he was with US Treasury, that they were  taking criminal action against me, and they could help.  These are creeps running some sort of scam...federal agencies don't work this way and I have no issues with Treasury or any other part of the government.

Got the same call from "Steve Martin".  He also tried to contact me through the number (571-210-5561).  Had the Stockton PD call the number and talk to a "Ross Vincent" with the Peter Paper Company who totally denied the call.  Total Scam...The PD said they would pass the call along to the IRS fraud dept and hoped to contact the carrier to shut down the number.  Please report any fraud calls you might receive so that the carrier will be forced to shut dwon the number.

Got a slightly different call from this number. Was a recording: female voice in broken English saying there are legal actions against me and I had better call back or risk action from the local cops, haha. What idiots...

I got a call saying she was from a local law inforcement agency  there's four serious  allegations against  my name. And got the same messagel with a different number two weeks ago. Scam!
