Why don't stand up like a man and identify yourself when you call people instead of hiding behind a phone and disgusing your identity and voice, wimpering and trmbeling when you call people with the wrong tel, block your number when people try to call you back.You jelley fish are in the wrong business. they call me almost everyday. i picked up once, no one said anything? i dont want to give them personal info. if it really is collections, they should send something in the mail??? never trust the other person on the other line...

Dead Air -- No message!! I am a professional Bill Collector. (yes I get my call for bills just like you) The best way to stop this company from calling (if) they pick up or leave a message .. If you owe them money request that it be in writing.. If they are calling the wrong number.. ID yourself and let them know you have had several calls from this number and if they don't stop calling will be forced to take legal action.. If same caller you can actually sue the individual. If you are not the right psrty being called.. Request supervisor to come to the phone. Demand number be removed.. Get that person id number or name..

ID only said "Credit Center"; message on answ machine was robotic saying press one for english 2 for spanish - getting huffy at no response, repeating and then cutting off - first call like this, but whoever they are, they're annoying

After a lot of research and phone calls I found out how to get them to stop calling when they have the wrong number. They are calling me and asking for someone that is not me and that I don't know, and I have never even known anyone by that name. They are Penn Credit in Harrisburg, PA. There is a toll free # for Penn Credit but it is a different office (in Philadelphia, I think) They gave me the # for the Harrisburg office, which is 717-238-7124 (press 0 for the operator) I called and explained the situation, they transferred me to customer service, I explained the situation again. They asked what number they had been calling, I gave them my # and they said that they would take it off the list. I hope this helps some of you who are sick of getting these recorded calls that aren't even for you, and having no way to tell them that they have the wrong # and to quit calling.

Penn Credit is the company. They keep calling me looking for a former resident. I guess they looked up the address and are calling the active phone number associated with it. I've spoken with the moron debt collectors three times and they keep calling me. So I made a complaint with the FTC for harassment. I answered the telephone; "you have an important message - press 1 for English".

I did not press l but hung up the phone instead. These people should have the correct information prior to making calls.

I keep getting the call too only now it says CENTRAL CREDIT on the ID. As to previous posters, if it is Penn credit affiliate I am having issues with them. Keep sending me bills for magazine subscriptions that I don't get. They say three sub. through publishers clearing house and I have NEVER ordered mags from them. I sent snail mail a copy of their bill and written letter to stop harassing calls that I do not receive any mags from pch. They wont even list the names of the mags just "magazine subscription" what a con.

If they are calling you and have the wrong number, call their collections department at(800)-900-1380 and tell them.  If you are the person they are trying to reach and want to clear up matters, the numbers good for you too.

Not sure who it is, nor do I care. No message left and am on do not call list.

They keep calling for someone that apparently had the same phone number before we purchased this IPhone.

This number is disgusting and it called me several times for nothing. I stopped to pick it up and it continues to harrass.

Don't know how to do with it?

Today is Labor Day Monday 09/07/09.

I recieved a call voicemail recording from someone looking to collect a debt. Funny thing is.....they have my exact First and Last name. Shockingly I just changed to this number not less than a month ago and whoever this same woman is that lives in IL is the biggest damn scam artist in the world.

2 Months ago, she somehow obtained my address and all of a sudden from the state of IN and IL I recieved 2 of her $14.28 child support checks. I called the office on the check, they claim it was an error. I asked how in the hell could this person change her address to mine in TN, the lady had no clue. I told them to alert their security team, I've never had children!!!

Since then I changed my number and NOW, I got my first call (based on the other complaint boards) someone by the name of Penn Credit Collections out of PA. The number is 717-364-1724 on my ID. I previously only had a cell phone for 6 years, NO PROBLEMS, now I'm considering going back to just having a wireless phone. These companies are using "skip tracing" and finding people in phone books with the same name, changing addresses for crooks, its abusive and sick!!!

Caller ID shows Central Credit. Don't know who it is and don't answer these kinds of calls.

They call all the time want info. They will not give you much info. I we just don't answer anymore.
