Well thank you for the warnings. I almost picked up the phone. I thought oh well NY is alright but just to be sure I thought I'd check here.

Got a call, I never answer. I like it when they call. My ringtone is awesome. Everyone can hear the awesomeness.

I allowed these people into my computer but cut them off right away.  I had a bad feeling, it didn't make sense to me that someone would call me on Labour Day from Microsoft claiming they got a message that my computer was infected and they wanted to fix it for me. They asked me what I used my computer for and said I didn't use it for online shopping then he said "Oh" and hesitated.  So I shut down my computer.  I then said it would be stupid of me to give a stranger access to my personal information and I'm not stupid, he then finally stopped persisting to "fix" my computer.  He had a foreign accent and I couldn't hear him that well and his supervisor also had a foreign accent.

Now they claim they are the IRS making a final call to resolve a tax problem.

New scam: call 202-241-7272 to talk to the IRS about their lawsuit against you. Disgusting! Stamp-out these parasites! Don't call the number, contact the IRS and the FTC and file a complaint like I did. Robo call was from 718-377-9189.

this person is now threatening me with being sued by the IRS, gives me a mobile number in Washington to call 202-239-1879 which is always busy..do not give anyone information over the phone

I ignored the call when they called my cell phone. Immediately afterwards, I ignored another call from a blocked number. All people who get calls from this number should report it to the fcc so that eventually something will be done to these people.

Automated caller claims to be the IRS starting lawsuit against the call recipient: advises them to call: 206-201-2445.  Obvious scam

This caller is named as a Scammer posing as a Microsoft employee who has identified malware and wants access to
your computer.

This number showed on my phone and I did not answer, but checked the Number on the Internet and people are
warning  everyone to stay away and do not respond when called.

Someone called me from this number, and left a voicemail, as I was out.  In a robot voice, said they were the IRS and that they were going to file a lawsuit against me (never said my name, though) to gain information about this case and gave a number.  They said it was a case number, and for me to call at once, but left no call back number!  The number they left was one digit short of a US telephone number.  I attempted to call back the number on the caller ID 718-377-9189, and got an unofficial sounding recording that the number "is not in service"!

Got a call from this number, today. Went to voice mail and the caller informed me, that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. Already know about the IRS scam, so I just laughed but a lot of elderly people have been falling for this scam and the Microsoft scam in my area. Been getting these calls, since I upgraded to a smart phone.

Phone call was recording saying that they have been trying to reach me "you", and saying that they were the IRS and that we're placing legal charges, and that I should call back the number that they provided(i didn't take down number).
I just googled the number that called me.
