I believe this is a scam.  They claim to collect donations for various numbers of organizations.  We believe that this is the same company that my husband and I regretibly donated to about three years ago.  Just tell these guys that you support YOUR local schools and organizations, and not to call back again.

I don't answer my phone any more, I am on several automatic dialer lists, I wish there was someway to stop them.

This number has called me once a week for the last couple of weeks. They say they are raising money for the police, but then ask us if we can donate money using out debit card. I don't do business that way so I just hang up. I think it is a scam.

Very annoying.  Hopefully enough comments will make this one go away?

Just received a call, January 10, and no one was on line.  According to Qwest, calls that do not identify the caller should not be put through.

I just got a call from 1-719-623-5387. The caller hung up when I identified myself. There are apparently a lot of us who have received calls from this number.

Looks like this is probably Xentel calling. I've asked to be removed from their calling list (just last week again, in fact) but they keep calling.  They're in Canada and are one of those companies who let you think it's charitable donation, but my research indicates that less than 50% of your donation will go to the police association.  Not tax deductible either. Don't answer.

This number calls me...hangs up on both answered and with voice mail.  WHY????

Everyone seems to have the same problem(that's why I'm here as well) but no one seems to have the solution. This is harassment. Are we all at the mercy of this caller (or computer) forever? There has got to be something we can do, aside from "just don't answer". Can we file a class-action or something?

I got the call from this number every day. They are not saying what exactly they want.

Same here. Comes up as "local call". I guess they don't know how to use voice mail.

Keeps calling after told not to call!

I received a call from this number many times and finally decided to play along.  They said they were representing The Colorado police association and looking for donations to buy my local police department all kinds of equipment.  Well, since I happen to see officers from time to time in my area responding to different events, I know for a fact that these departments are not exactly in need of equipment whatsoever  I was being asked to choose from a bronze, silver or platinum support donation.  I said platinum just to see what kind of nonsense they would pull next.  I was then transferred to some other person to get my information.  Surprisingly they did not try to get my payment info, just a pledge to pay.  So, in the spirit of fun I gave them my business address.  Then I called my local police department (non emergency number of course) and when I mentioned the name "Colorado police association" the woman on desk duty started laughing, and said they get calls about that all the time.  She told me in no uncertain words that it is a scam.  So if I get any mail correspondence from them, I will post it here and hopefully get them shut down.

Received a call from the same number, but did not pick up, and no message wass left.  It think it's the same outfit y'all are referring to.  I got a call last month from this same number.  It says "local", but 719 is not the area code here.  These people should be put out of business PRONTO!!  Apparently being on the "No-Call List" does not protect us from these scammers!!!  BUMMER!!!

Keep receiving calls from this number -- they never say anything -- just keep calling and calling and calling and calling --- IF this is POLICE Promotion Sol. the local P.D. is going to hear plenty from us !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The Caller I.D. shows as a Local Call -- we are over 800 miles away .

I did a reverse look up & it comes from Colorado Springs, CO -- Icg Telecom Group -- the area code also covers Canyon City -- which has a federal prison there. I don't know if some credit companies are using the inmates as cheap labor, like stories I've seen on Dateline or 20/20. But it makes you wonder when I'm on both the state & federal do not call list, & it shows up on caller id as local call -- which it isn't.

This number continues to call -- tie up phone -- NO MESSAGE -- then hangs up. Have had dozens of Hangup calls from this number. Our Ans. Mach. message says for "Telemarketers to NOT call this number again !!" They cont. to call !!!

promted to leave message and they will call back about a colorado children's charity. I am non-listed and non-published  and eget solicitations,so my guess is they are using one of those computer programs that scrambles numbers and dials over and over

I have the same thing as annoyed I'm nonlisted and non-published and I've been getting these phone calls daily. I called them back and left my number, an operator will be with you shortly, on hold, then thank you *click* and hung up on me.

I'll be blocking their number and they'll get the lovely "I'm sorry this number is not accepting calls" message prerecorded from the phone company.
