Make sure to report them to the donotcall.gov site.

This company is using an automated dialing system. It dials a group of numbers automatically. When the call is answered, the system will try to find an available User. If it finds a User, the call is forwarded to their headset. If that User is not online, it will likely ring their extension. Who knows....these could be people working from home and these calls are forwarded to their home phones. Regardless, you hear dead air because the automated system just forwards the call to a user that is supposed to be available.

Called back and message said disconnected or changed

Good news!   If you start getting calls from an unknown number it is usually pretty easy to configure your phone app settings to add the offending # to the rejected caller list.   I always like to search the mystery caller on Google to help ensure that the rogues get screened out.

Got a call from this #, 720-376-0968, at 1:53pm today. This is a Denver area code and as I have Dr's in Denver I answered. "Congratulations, you have won a cruise to the Bahamas ". I immediately hung up. My phone number is on the do not call list as well.  This is my cell phone.

Called the # back and it says it is a verison # that has been disconnected. It just called me!?!?!?!!?

this number called me and got dead air no one I know and no state that I know anyone in.
