I have belonged to a credit monitoring program for over 10 years.  Whenever someone attempts to access my credit or places any negative information, the program notifies me.  In 2005, I was a victim of ID theft and only found out via the monitoring program.  Now, 7 years later, the same monitoring program sent me a notice yesterday stating that this co. Financial Credit Service has placed negative info regarding an unpaid medical bill.  First, I've never dealt with this company, have no unpaid medical bills, and have never even received any information regarding same.  These folks are going to have to pay me the Federal (FTC/FDCPA) statutory $1,000 (fine for placing completely false and negligently erroneous information to the credit reporting agencies without verifying the debt is mine (it isn't) or by even doing initial due diligence in locating me (have lived in same home for last 7 years).  Might also add that I am a retired litigation paralegal quite familiar with lawsuits, research, etc.  These folks are toast as to my "alleged debt".  SOB's.  Damaging someone's stellar credit report is not to be taken lightly.

who are they. and what they want? I wished they stopped calling my work private lines, leaving messages, or I may have to take some responsive actions............

This is a legitimate debt collection agency. They have to tell you who the debt is from and how much. Don't avoid them, pay your debts. If you determine you don't owe this debt, straighten it out. They HAVE to tell you the details.
I am dealing with them currently (oops). They WILL try to bully you over the phone and make you mad. Stay calm and persistent. Don't pay them the agreed settlement without getting it in writing.

If you have a cell phone - there is an app out there that will BLOCK the phone number. I just did.

has to be a scam, we live in Australia and have never been overseas let alone Florida USA.

They just called me during my class, which thank god I had my phone on silent. And the funny thing is they left me a voicemail and they said somebody's name I have never even heard of.

Got a call from 727-446-0018. I looked the number up. Never heard of st Anthony's hospital.  I am on the national do not call list.   Makes one want to take phones out of their home.   If they need me they can send snail mail so I can take it to my attorney.  Hope you catch these guys who have too much time on their hands.

they call me 2-3 /d too. eventhough I made payment to the hospital. i am tired of them
