Report a phone call from 732-218-3621 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- KTFrom a collection agency. Very soft-spoken after 2-3 hellos finally responds. Has shown up on my caller ID 2-3 times per day. Claims to have mailed me information that I have never received. I think this is a scavenger collector.
- Skip Lsame call on my "unlisted/ no-call listed cell #" at 8:30 am this morning. WTF ???
- KaylaI got a call from this number at 4:42pm on February 12, 2008, although they did not leave a number. I came to look up the number first and found this.
- JMMI received a call from this number today. They claim to be collecting a debt that does not exist. Indicating they contacted me a couple of weeks ago about it...which was not true.
He says: "Hello i'm calling because you were contacted a couple of weeks ago about a debt you have from 2001 for some magazines your ordered - Fortune, Mad, Elle, etc... - the total you owe is $4828 or $48.28. How would you like to take care of it"
I Say: "No one ever called me. This is the first time i'm hearing about this Debt. The magazines you say I ordered aren't even my type of magazines as I am a Graphic Designer. And I have been monitoring my Credit report for the past 2 years and have never seen that on there.
He Says: "Well, you wouldn't see it on there because it's been passed on to us and has been consolidated. Someone has been making payments on this account, How would you like to cover the balance?"
I Say: "Well, the person making the payments wasn't me. And i'm not going to pay for something I did not order. Plus i'm hearing this for the first time in 7-8 years. So you can send it back to them."
He Says: "Well, you're going to be receiving more info about this in the mail. I'll send back your account."- Caller: Something Consolidation
- ChuckoThis is a collection agency, Luebke Baker & Assoc. They were looking for someone that had my cell number over 3 years ago. Apparently they bought some really old lists of bad debts. I told them that I do not know the person they are looking for and they said they would remove my number from there call list.
- Caller: Luebke Baker & Assoc.
- dtaborApparently this Luebke Baker & Assoc is apparently a collection agency, allegedly acting on behalf of Consolidated Media Services, has demanded as much as several hundred dollars for charges they say go back as far as 1997. There are multiple stories on them at the site below. Basically even if you never owed this CMS any money they are saying you owe hundreds and that they will settle the debt for a certain amount. Apparently it is a scam and not a valid collection - read all about - http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2006/01/cms.html

- INThey also call from 561-948-8090,I told them I am going to report them to the FBI, now they are calling from 732-218-3621 asking me what is my phone number.
- BaffledLuebke Baker & Assoc just called me. My number is private and non-listed. When they asked for me, they used a name that I do not use in documentation, ie letters, contracts, credit cards, bank statements... they asked for me by personal name friends use. Since I didn't recognize the number I asked them who they were and they said Luebke Baker & Assoc and asked for me again. I asked them what it was regarding and they said they were not authorized to tell me if I wasn't who they were calling. I told them "Good bye" and they asked when I would be available to talk and I told them "Sorry if you can't tell me what you want I can't tell you when he will be available." Then I hung up. They did identify as Luebke Baker & Assoc so I guess the best thing to do is avoid them. I've never ordered magazines via credit card or checks, nor do I do mail order so I don't know how they got my info.

- tinaHave received several calls on my cell phone from this number starting on Feb 11. When I answered the phone, no one responded. I called back from my home number. The lady never gave me their company name, but said that I had past due account balances from Consumer Media Corp. and Readers Services. The total amount past due was over $1300 for magazines!! I have never ordered magazines. As a matter of fact, the date she gave me would have made me 16 at the time. She said these accounts were over 11 years old. She had previous addresses for me, but they were off by a few numbers. This is a scam. I checked the web site from one of the above commnets. She said that she would give me a settlement today to avoid court cases and legal fees. I told her that if it had not hit my credit report in 11 years, I was not worried about it and that I was going to report them to Consumer Affairs for fraudulent billing. She changed her tune after that and said that she said that she would note my account of incorrect information. Don't fall for this!!!

- What the hell?I keep on receiving phone calls on my unlisted cell phone and is driving me nuts. I remember paying them off and saying I want to cancel my subscriptions over four years ago and now they start calling back saying I owe almost $500 in magazine subsriptions is stupid. I have checked my credit report and there is no account with this so called associates. Any more info on this so called company would be greatly appreciated.
- What the hell? When I don't answer they don't even leave a voice mail which tells me they are just trying out to fish. I have heard from a friend of mine telling there are scammers out there trying out to fish out anyone they can scam. Nobody shouldn't be fooled by this so called company.
- Nice tryI just checked my unlisted cell phone and had a missed call from this # and no message. The first thing I did was Google the number and came across this site. I want to thank all of you for posting - I know not to call back OR answer if they call again!!
- JackieI've received the same call today, and they didn't even leave a message on my machine, so that right there was suspicious.
He said I owed on a magazine subscription that I never had dating back to September of 2005. They said I owed over $200 in debt, but I could settle the debt for like $130, and be paid in full. When I told the gentlemen that I did not feel comfortable with this phone call and I wasn't going to give my credit card number out over the phone, he got snippy with me and seemed aggravated. I asked my husband if he knew anything about some magazines and he said no, so I told the people on the phone that I didn't want them calling back and I'm not ever gonna give my personal information out over the phone, then I asked how the got my number and they hung up on me.- Caller: Luebke Baker & Assoc.
- JackieI looked the number up on addresses.com and did a reverse phone number search.
This is what I found....

There isn't any Collection agency that offers up front to get rid of your dept for less.... Plus collection agencies don't care if they get an answer machine or an actual person, they WILL leave a message. Collection agencies also don't hang up on you just cause you say that you don't want them calling back. There are several warning signs with this supposed collection agency. NEVER give your PERSONAL information out over the phone no matter who the people claim to be on the other end. Even if they say it's your mom (LOL)
People like that will take anything they can get and then some. Look for they warning signs!!!- Caller: Luebke Baker & Assoc.
- AnonymI have recieved many calls from this number with noone on the other end. I have been called as late as 10 PM so I know that this is a scamer and not a collection agency for they will leave messages for you. I am so tired of this number calling me. Thanks for posting this up so many more of us can be pissed together over all the losers out there calling us and trying to take our hard earned cash....

- irateI have a similar story...they call me almost every morning around 8 for at least a month. Every time I answer there is no one on the other end. Finally this morning I'd had enough and decided to call them back. I women that sounds like shes running a very hectic day care center answers and asks me my number ( which I stupidly give her) then she says my name and transfers me to another women. I ask the second women to stop calling my house she tells me she can't without my number, I told her to figure it out and never call it again. I doubt that will really help...Is there any legal way to make this stop?

- ElizabethI talked to them a couple of weeks ago - they said they my husband owes them $500. I had already googled them and found the article listed above. We were called from the other phone number someone else listed above.
They say the debt is from 2001. Well, the statute of limitations is 6 years for that kind of debt, so even if he still owed the money (which he doesn't), he wouldn't be legally liable for it. Anyone that is legit and says you owe them money will try and get it collected sooner than the six year statute of limitations (it varies from state to state, but it is six years in NY - We are in AZ now, but we were in NY in 2001).
They also called at 8:12 in the morning - something that is against federal law. They can legally only call you from 9 AM to either eight or nine PM (I have to look up the law). I work 11AM to 11 PM and I wake up at 9 AM so I don't appreciate being woken up at 8 AM - especially since I could not fall asleep last night. If anyone can find the rules about when companies can call you, I would appreciate it. - Resused to Be ScammedLuebke Baker & Associates contacted me today and said that I owed a debt to Reader Services for some magazines that I supposedly ordered in 1999. They told me that I made 15 payments and they were calling to collect the remainder of the 40 payments of $28.80. I told the rep that she had the wrong individual. She claimed she talked to someone at my former address and I did not understand how because there is not even a home at that address. She said that a credit card was used. I told her I did not own a credit card. I told her that I needed written proof of the debt to include the credit card number, proof of the debt so that I could get all the pertinent information. She told me that she would send out a letter. I gave her the address and she said I would receive it in "7-5" business days. Yes, she said "7-5". I then researched the company of reader services and found an article that you all may find interesting. Here is the link. http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2006/01/cms.html. I found the website for the LB&Associates and their actual telephone number is 1-800-258-6587. I called them and informed them of the information that I located and wanted them to know about reader services. I asked for an address for reader services so that I could contact them myself about this debt. I told them that this company had done something called "reloading". I was then transfered to several different individuals and then finally a supervisor. I asked for the address of reader services and she told me that I would have to contact her office in writing for the information that I am requesting. She told me that it is going to be difficult for me to dispute something because I have never received a bill stating that I owed anything. I didn't even respond to that statement. I told her that I understood that they were the middle man and I wanted to deal directly with the Reader Service (CMS) company myself. They go by several different names. Here is the address for Lubke Baker and Associates I was given, along with their website and the address there.
