These jokers call at least two or three times a day. I refuse to answer these people because I know they are some telemarketer trying to get me to sign up for something.

Their persistence is starting to grate on my nerves. They even call later at night sometimes.

This number along with various other numbers that come from all over the country call my place of business at least 5 times a day.  Its gotten to the point where everyone where i work will see a caller ID ,that lists Spring Lake, NJ,  Salem OR, and a mulititude of other cities, and pick up then hang up.  Incredibly annoying in a high call volume environment.  Not sure which steps to take to get this to stop because it's not like upper management really cares about something like this.

I just got a home phone number and this doctors group calls the same day... well they have caled 2-3 times a day since and says nothing.  It gives u the chance to leave your number but that does not work.  I am trying to figure out a number to call that someone will answer so I can fix this.  any answers???

They aren't telemarketers - they are pedophiles and child molesters.  They are "fishing" for targets.  That's why the call and then hang up when an adult answers the phone, or pretend to be telemarketers until you hang up on them.

You're probably right ... they might very well be pedophiles. My caller ID says 'Spring Lake' and the area code and prefix are Spring Lake, NJ. I live 20 minutes from Spring Lake, NJ. Except for one very small section of so-so apts. on the western-end of town, furthest away from the ocean and resort areas, it's a beautiful, upscale resort shore-town, right near the ocean. Most homeowners there have $$$$ and don't live there all year round ... it's their summer home for most of the town residents. Although some do rent their homes out for the winter.

Anyway, one of the huge mansions that overlooks and faces the ocean/boardwalk provides housing for about 20 pedophiles who were released from a NJ prison but the town doesn't want these pedos roaming the streets. The residents didn't want them living on their street or in their neighborhood so they put them up in this sort of halfway house on Ocean Ave as they are confined to that area, which almost half of the year is a ghost town.

I have relatives in both of the neighboring towns of Sea-Girt and also in the seaside town of Belmar.    I'll ask their Spring Lake police friend to check this out.

So, I think the poster who suggested the caller(s) are pedophiles looking for victims might just be on to something. Anyway, I'll follow-up next week after talking to my family's police friend in Spring Lake.

BTW, they have called me 18 times just in the past week ... 5 times today. I plan to file a complaint with the FCC as well.

Sounds like a good bet that some of those pedophiles work for the "Doctor's Network" as telemarketers....what a perfect "cover" for them.  Hope that the police take the interest that they should.

Multiple calls per week. ID says Doctors Group. Wonder if its NSA reconfirming its wiretaps?

I live in denver co and I get a call everyday same thing as soon as I answer they hang up. Tired of it!

I live 20 minutes from Spring Lake, NJ and I have relatives who live in the neighboring towns of this shore resort community. So, I asked our police officer friend to help put. Here's what he said so far.

My police officer friend said the calls are coming from a 'company, government or municipal phone' (not a private-residential phone) somewhere in Spring Lake Borough. Anyway, they are investigating it. They said the Logs show that there are no calls on national Holidays, as the perps probably have no access to the phones on these Holidays, although they do seem to have some limited weekend access. But, they said it's not likely a private residential phone line. Also, a public school has not been ruled out.

Most phone services (such as mine) don't allow 'call blocking' on this type of  'overlay' number or I'd have already just blocked the call. Besides, you can't successfully 'call block' a phone number that's an 'overlay' number. With an overlay number you can only see the old number on the Caller ID, the 732-359-4003 number, not the new number/system that was installed over this number when the entire phone system was upgraded. With an 'overlay' number, the new number doesn't show up on the ID Caller.

They said since this phone number, 732-359-4003,  is called an "overlay" ... in other words, a whole new phone system/numbers were installed over these lines, it can still be traced, but not as easily as if it were not an 'overlay'. That's why if you 'call back' or do a 'reverse look-up' you won't get the person who just called you. Anyway, a police officer/investigators are looking into this as there are thousands and thousands of people who are affected ... not just the dozens that are on these different 'complaint comment boards'.

BTW, I agree with the posters who think it's probably pedophiles waiting for a kid to answer. Hopefully, 'they' have NOT 'hit the jackpot', where a child answered, that they are now 'working' on.

In any case, the police and investigators need to look into this further. People who are the targets of these criminals are getting between 3-8 calls, on average, almost every single day, since last October 2010. That equates to harassment.

UPDATE: The phone carrier is PAETEC Communications, Inc., located in (Bergen County) Cliffside, NJ  

I was also informed that whoever is using these #'s may possibly be marketing firms, which utilize a computer system to randomly generate numbers, and then calls them to see which receives answers to - therefore NOT following Regulations. They are violating Regulations!

If EVERYONE who receives these calls files a complaint with PAETEC Communications and if everyone complains, then the phone carrier can take the privilege/usage of this number away from these harassing parties.

I live in Miami FL and this # doesn't stop calling me. I answered for the 1st time tonight they calle d at 8pm they hung up. I called back and get a busy dial.

They have been calling me for about two weeks now, several times in the early morning. I expected them to just try and sign me up for something, so I answer then hang up quickly and they just call back 2-3 more times. It's getting ridiculous.

This is who they are. They are are marketing firm.  They are getting paid to make a connected call, not devlier a message, which is why they hang up on you. The web site has a phone number you can call back to give them a hard time. Please, call them ALOT.

They are claiming to give out free chiropractic care, so they fall under "non profit" area, and the do not call list does not apply to them ( they are using it .. or misusing that law ).

Calls and hangs up

This call comes in about the same time of day on my business line. It is always a hang up. When I try to call it back it is busy.

Came up on my phone as DOCTORS GROUP
They call either several times a day or every few days for the last several months. I do not think it is sexual as much as commercial.
One time I actually got an answer, (India accent)  trying to set me up with a chiropractor.
I believe the hang up calls to be busy operators. Probably two people with 20 or more lines going out.
