- Hamilton, ON Canada| 1 replyI started getting these "FAX" calls at 6 am Sun.Sep.26.2010 about every 5-7 minutes. I called Bell Canada my provider to report using the #611 number - they said there were at least 40 people who reported this number by 630am - I would say a lot more were called but did not do anything. They said they were looking into it and took my number but stated they could not block until possibly Mon.
I also called Premiere Global Services I seen in this thread and reported the incident. They took my number and said they could not identify this number until Mon but would have an email sent out to their FAX folks to see if it can be stopped - if the number was still under them.
Hope this helps some others out there. These calls are very disturbing.

- Stacey replies to Hamilton, ON CanadaI see that I am not the only one taht was awoken in the middle of the night by these people. I got 2 calls 3:40am andn5:39am. I am not impressed. Both times I did not answer the phone and VM message was left of a fax tone. Just called the number back and it was busy. I am going to send them a nasty fax today telling them to stop calling me.
- Sleepless in Summerside, PE, Canada7323894930 called my number 3 times within an hour or so commencing at 4:51 am on a Sunday! It was a computerized message advising me that a fax would follow. After the third annoying call, I remembered that I could use the Call Screen function with East Link (*60) to block their calls.
Why isn't there a law prohibiting this sort of thing? As parents whose offspring have left the nest, having the phone ring in the dead of night is a terrifying experience. Please make it stop!!- Caller: Unknown

- Jane S replies to Cobb_NeroI tried your suggestion, but I can't get through. Maybe Canadians are not allowed to complain about repeated US faxes in the middle of the night
- DASHPhoned me in B.C. a few times around 2.30 to 4.00 am. Phoning at that time could cause serious problems for certain people up to and including death from heart attack, depending on the person and their circumstances....I don't know what they want, but I guess this is somehow a way for them to try to put a few extra nickels in their pocket? They don't care what it costs others or how many people they bother or how much stress it might bring to people who may currently be in a fragile state of health...as long as they get to be anonymous so other people can't reply back to them they are content to continue. The laws are much too lax and tends to protect the guilty.
- CCReceived two of these calls at 5:19am and 5:32am woke my girlfriend and alarmed her greatly. I wish we could report these somehow in Canada, actually I'm sure there is a way. I wonder if this is related to my request from another telemarketer to remove my name from their list a couple of days ago.
