got a call from this strange number.  it said local call on the i.d.

I have just blocked this number using my phone companny's selective call rejection service.  It costs 4 dollars a month.  So far I have blocked 15 repeated callers for charity and political fund raisers.  2 months ago we were getting repeated calls from these numbers, we have caller ID so knew not to answer, but the ringing phones and requirement to hunt for the mobile phone to view the number was getting annoying.  We now go for days without a fund raising call and when we do get one, we simply add it to the call reject list.  Well worth the 4 dollars a month

Called this number back - it is from a childrens health organization... Just another Fundraising Information Center... Don't get overly excited...

Got a call yesterday at noon...said Chesapeake, VA but no name... no message left...just called it... fund raising number

Whenever I answer (only rarely) and get a live person I chirp "Hi! Would you
like to buy something? No? I'm sorry I bothered you, then." Then I hang up.
No one has ever called me back.

I get calls several times a day from this number I dont even answer it any more. Once two girls answered and hung up...how can I block this number from my line.

Called, saying they wanted "doantions " for the local police department...wanting $15-$50.00....

This # has been showing up on my caller ID with no messages left on my voice mail.  Tonight I finally answered it and when the man asked, "Is this Mrs. So and So?" (using my real last name) I simply told him he had the wrong #.  He mispronounced my name, so I knew it wasn't anyone I knew or dealt with on a regular basis.  Hopefully they'll stop calling.

Caller ID simply says "local call" and the number. They have called 2-3 times a day almost every day for the past week. The one time I did answer no one was on the line. Very irritating.

I kept on getting this call, day and night, weekdays and weekends. Please stop this stupid call.

this number belongs to some Fundraising Information Center.

Received several calls from these folks and never a message. Calls returned identify this number as belonging to the "Fundraising Information Center". Internet searches have only provided me with one possible clue who they are and how to contact them. The "Fundraising Information Center" is listed as an exhibitor on a .pdf brochure distributed by the Dallas/Ft. I will try to contact the AFP DFW and find out how to contact the "Fundraising Information Center".

This number has called my house repeatedly. If I don't pick up, they wait for the answering machine and then hang up on the message.

i get the same thing most others are getting. calling periodically at various times of day. hangups on answering machine. they even call on sunday. i dont understand the point of not saying anything. that makes me wonder if they are spoofed calls or someone verifying that it's still a good number for other purposes. you never know these days.

The name that appears on my caller ID for this number is Randy Korvcinsk.  When I called back the recording identifies the caller as the "Information Fundraising Center". My number is on the national "Do Not Call" list but apparently this number gets through, they give you no option in the recording to add your number to their no call list.

They said they are fundraiser for police force. I told him I will never commit anything over the phone. And the last thing I heard form him is "watch out". He call from 757-512-5888

i have gotten two calls from this phone number and when i answer the phone they ask for someone that doesn't live here and then they hang up, they say that they are working for some findraiser and then when i answer the phone and i'm not the person they are looking for they hang up..

Got a call this morning from 757-512-5888 and the guy said that he's from VA police and they have a fund raising campaign. Since I don't know the number I just hang up minutes later my wife's credit card company called regarding a suspicious activity with her credit card account.

Caller ID : Chesapeak , VA , thats local considering im in Virginia Beach. Didnt Answer. No Message.
