Man with Indian accent called and said the US Treasury had a warrant out for me for not paying taxes. He said his name is Joseph Litt, his id # is 117086 and that I am on a recorded line. Wanted to know my attorneys name. I asked for the name of his supervisor and his supervisor's phone number. He said the US Treasury is not allowed to give out this information and he then hung up.

Steve "a wild and crazy guy" Martin with his South Asian accent calling threatening treasury enforcement action. Right.

I would hope you wouldn't call that person back or comment or tell them anything even if they didn't have a foreign accent you know that there are criminals out there that were born and raised here I have blocked these calls from my phone as soon as they come up do not response they have been reported to the authorities they just keep changing their number

Same thing. However, this Steve Martin's accent was so thick I couldn't understand the "treasury" reference. I've erased the message.

This guy calls and says he's from the US Treasury Dept of Legal Affairs. North Fork Virginia 1st said his name was Dean something says there is a warrant being issued for my wife for some tax discrepancy in 2011. I question him because we file joint and have an accountant.I tell him I don't know who he is if the number he's calling from is even lagit and I am not giving out any information.  I ask him for his name & badge # he tells me his name is Joseph Litt.  I know this is a scam. He talks with a foreign accent. After questioning him he hangs up.

Same call. We have two landlines and this robocall came in to both numbers simultaneously. Our voicemail recorded the calls. But I wonder if we would have messed up their system if we had live-answered the calls simultaneously -- how many fake Steve Martins do they have?!

keep getting calls from 757-694-0275 & even got a voicemail from same person mentioned in all the other comments-heavy Indian accent saying he's from IRS and that I was in trouble & not to ignore these calls or I would be prosecuted!!  I know it's a scam so will just ignore that or similar numbers.

I received a call from this # and was told by Steve Martin and then Eaton Gauge? that I owed $5,800.00 in taxes, penalties and interest. He couldn’t tell why or what was wrong with my taxes however he was quick to point out that the police would be at my house within the hour and it was a 30 day no bail warrant being issued. He gave me 1 hour to find the money to pay. Then he started calling every 3 minutes for the next hour. All his calls ended with you will call me NOW. He said that law 18-B stated that if I discussed this case with anyone it is an automatic 15 year sentence.

These people are frauds and are trying to steal money from people who don't know any better

Supposedly callin from US Treasury Indian accent reporting immediate action to deal with charges.  My accountant reports they will never contact you by phone.

If this guy's name is Steve Martin, I'll eat my hat!  Didn't fall for it of course but it enrages me that people HAVE fallen for this absurd scam.   I'd LOVE to call back and waste his time a bit but others say it's always busy so I won't bother.  I did report it to TIGTA (Inspector General's office IRS).  Steve Martin.....riiiiigghht.

Got two calls from this number saying I may be in trouble they want to help me.  Something about being called before a Grand Jury. The voice half sounds Pakistani and half sounds like Stephen Hawking's synthesizer voice so I am thinking it is a computer voice over.

We're on a DO NOT CALL LIST..This Fool calls all the time.  Steve Martin from the IRS (India-Pak accent).  He's sending the IRS after us.  Do tell!!!

Received the same call from Steve Martin 757-694-0275 with a heavy Indian accent. Caller said he is from US Treasury Department that I filed wrongly income tax return for year 2011 and a mandate issue for my arrest, because I didn't responded in a timely manners to the letter from IRS. They said that I own $5000 and somebody from IRS will come to my house to pick up money. Then I understood that it was scam.
