I got the same call but let it go to the answering service.  I'm hoping if I don't actually pick up the phone, they'll stop calling it.

I had a message left on my voicemail stating that he was Steve Martin. I called back and he said my 2010 taxes were done wrong and that I possibly could go to jail for six months! He was INDIAN sounding and very hard to understand. I told him he was a scam artist and hung up. I feel that he was threatening me and trying to scare me. I hung up. The number was 760-298-3949.

got the call this morning.  Like to have the police show up on this guys doorstep.

A foreign-sounding male said he was calling on behalf of Treasury Dept. regarding and "enforcement action that is being taken against me on behalf of the Federal Government."

Got three threatening call from a male with an accent Treasury dept. Stating name as Steve Martin. Called back and said voice mail full. Number left on messeges was 760-298-3949
Said I better cooperate or enforcement action will ensue.

Received a message from the number this afternoon.  Threatening like the others have stated.  I did not call back.
Mine also was identified as Vista, California on caller ID.
Just a reminder that the IRS is not going to "call" anybody.  They are going to contact you via U.S. Postal Service.

Got two calls this afternoon that threatened federal action if we did not call back and comply

Yes, I've been left 3 messages on my home phone from this group pretty much verbatim from what SBL wrote on the previous page. Additionally I called the number 760-298-3949 and got a professional sounding message stating the individual was not available and to leave a VM... which then stated the VM was NOT accepting messages. I have not actually spoken with this individual but this is clearly a scam so be aware. I have reported this to the Federal Trade Commission as well.

Same thing  I GOT a call from man with a Asian accent telling me I was being contacted regarding a Federal Offense--- and would be brought in front of a  "Magistrate Judge"  or Grand Jury if I didn’t  call him back IMMEDIATELY …hmmm

All - received the call this morning.  How many of you have used Turbo Tax online? Sounds to me perhaps they got hacked and didn't tell anyone!!!!

This same MF idiot also uses another phone number ..949-734-5184 ...for the same US Treasury scam by the name of Steve Martin....(yeah right.. and I'm Bernadette Peters) 😒
