Just got a call from them. I was going to let voicemail answer. If they are legit why they leave no message??

This was a legitimate call regarding a UPS package that I had reported missing. The caller gave details that only the shipper would have known. The number they gave to follow up with was also a real UPS number.

Mexican is not a language. He may have had a Hispanic accent though.

Real UPS number, they left message about my lost package.

It is UPS tracking whien you file complaint...all good!

This is a REAL UPS customer service call.  I emailed them and they called me about the incident.  Good quick service.   This is not a fake call or a scam.

Call type listed below on this form did not give me the choice of a return call. That is what this was  - a call from UPS to resolve an issue with a wet package left in the rain by the UPS driver

I just got a call from this guy claiming to be with UPS following up on a damaged item claim I rec'd a month ago. I told him I hadn't rec'd any package from anyone. He had my name and address and said it was D & H industries. I told him it wasn't me. He gave me some long tracking number, obviously a fake. He sounded like on of those jerks in India.  He said he would take the claim up with D&H industries.  BEWARE !!!

Called my cell. I didn't pick up

Called and said he was trying to do a UPS investigation. IT'S A SCAM!

Men call said he was from ups damage dept  when told him I was not expecting anything he start by asking my name  I refused to give him any information and he started to get really mad  so I hang up

Legit number,  from UPS regarding a lost package claim that I had filed with SEPHORA.  Sephora re-delivered the package a second time , and I received the second one.   The voicemail left by the UPS person knew the contents of the package, the tracking number,  and the dates I had reported it lost to Sephora. Strange that so many others reporting they never had a reason for UPS to be calling them, because for me, this was a legit call based on real circumstances!  So weird,  but I'm still glad I didn't answer (no real reason to talk to UPS when I already got my stuff)

I am a contractor and take calls from these guys all the time. It's UPS.
If they call it's usually to contact you for a shipping matter. Sometimes they end up with your package for any number of reasons but slot of the time it is just to verify information.

I emailed UPS about this number. Here's their reply:

Thank you for forwarding this information to us. The phone call you received is not a legitimate UPS communication. We are aware that individuals may inappropriately use the UPS name or its services to perpetuate fraudulent activities. Please be aware the actual phone number can be masked or spoofed on caller ID and appear to be a legitimate UPS phone number when it is not.

We appreciate you alerting us to this latest incident.

It was a legit call for me. I had a Lost Package Investigation with UPS. In a message, he gave me the real number to call back. He knew the tracking number of the item as well. Perhaps those other scammy calls are people spoofing the number? Or are we being too suspicious?

I had a package lost or stolen from my home. This is a real number. UPS is investigating.

then why do they hang up when you tell them the person they are asking for is unavailable?
