Calls from this number are from the "Law" offices of Fredrick J Hanna which is really nothing more than a collection agency. Here is what Consumer credit expert Bud Hibbs has to say about this organization:

Fred Hanna, the poster boy for BAD collection agencies has been around a long time. Fred and his group of sleazy debt collectors have been using intimidation and legal threats as a collection tool for longer than I can remember. If anyone ever decides to do a movie about the disgusting, sleazy, slime-balls of the collection industry, FREDERICK J. HANNA would make the PERFECT model.

If you receive a letter or are sued by Hanna for anything that relates to Bank of America, treat it as fraudulent. It seems that Hanna will lie on court affidavits about his position and most affidavits attached are bogus in the information stated. Fred J. Hanna is NEVER to be trusted, his court filings should ALWAYS be challenged, and he has been known to lie about trivial and major items. Fred is concerned about one thing; separating you and your money.

Just don't answer the phone. They can't do anything really, if you don't live in Georgia. They will eat you alive and make you feel bad. It's not worth it. Try to work it out w/ a Debt Settlement Co. or even B of A themselves. I've heard really bad things about that company - J. Hanna...

When repeated calls are being made to me and family members in regards to a bad debt they are handling they are very RUDE.  Will not take my answer that the person no longer resides or has this number they have on file.  With no regards to Fair Debt Collections Act, they continue to contact me and family members.  I do have the number they are calling BUT I refuse to speak to them.  Under the current financial state of these credit card companies one would think they would be more willing to deal with the consumer and get some type of a payment rather than hang up their phone and harrass me at all hours.  NO WONDER THIS COUNTRY IS IN THE STATE WE ARE IN!!!!  
Advise the people they are calling to try and find out your information they no nothing about you and to no longer contact them.  If it continues they will see me in court too!! Filing a judgement against them!!

This is a stupid company i live in texas so im definitely out of their jusisdiction what bugs me is that this number is constantly harrassing me also and its gotten to the point where its ridiculous they call me at work they call me in the evening the call four even sometimes five times in a row just this morning they called at seven fifty in the morning are you kidding me is there anyway to make this stop my financial situation has been resolved and the threats i have ignored for a year because its sensless to worry about does anyone have a solution to stop the calls i need sleep at seven in the morning not phone calls from fake [***] debt collectors

They call all hours of the day and night.

I was getting calls from this number which of course Fredrick Hanna and was threatened, harassed and I could no longer take it.  I finally couldn't deal with all my debt and especially all the calls and also joined a debt settlement program with the Financial Debt Assistance.  Wow, not only have they settled 2 accounts thus far, I no longer get all the calls, I get a few but not nearly as much.  They are really understanding and they filed a claim with the attorney general, FTC, FDCPA, on my behalf and I did get a response that they are investigating them.  I have recorded conversation in which they threaten to sue, and PUT ME IN JAIL.  So I hope they are ultimately fined...

They've called twice and both times it was nearly impossible to understand what they're saying. They call my cellphone which I've blocked their number. I haven't received a letter and after reading all of your responses, I recognize I'll send my future payments directly to BofA.

What a bummer to get associated with these monsters.

I got a call on my cell telephone today from this number. The only people I have not paid was Direct TV when they refused to end my contract with my numerous written requests. And the service went into the next month charging me more money. I filed a Consumer Affair complaint  against Direct TV which I was advised that Direct TV  is under investigation for its practices in numerous States.

I went to the Jack Hannah website and did  not see this telephone # registered in the website. I always google unidentified telephone#'s.

Man, I hope these people are not going to harass me for the $48.00 Direct TV is billing me for.

These people these lawyer's! They don't even have the right person!  They wanted a Robert Severe or Savage or somthing.  We are not them.  They keep calling and calling! We have never even banked with Bank of America.  They do nothing but harrass you!  They aught to be stoped!  Five calls! I tell them every time this is not the Severs or what ever this is the Lyons!  Quit calling!  We are in the phone book as our names not that other persons name!  I have finally asked who is this person? what is thier social security?  I told my husbands last four.  It is not the same person!  What else must I do? She said they won't call back.  We will see. In the mean time I am thinking of calling my attorney general and seeing what they can do.

These folks have been hounding me for over 8 months on a BOA account that was closed after BOA would not help me with a stolen checkbook--because I didn't know the numbers of the checks that were stolen! I closed the account, but the stupid bank kept trying to cash the checks! So they say I owe them $178. I have been laid off for over a year, my unemployment has run out, and I'm living with a friend. Somehow they got my friends number, and call over 20 times a day. My friend is very thoughtful and forgiving, but I know it is frustrating for her and for me. I don't know what to do. I need help please!

Calls made to a cell phone by a Debt Collector, using any automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded voice (including texting) where there is no prior express permission, are potentially a violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act ("TCPA"). There are statutorily prescribed damages of $500 for each such call. The damages per call can be increased to $1,500 if the Debt Collector's conduct is shown to be willful or knowing.

OMG, since summer of 2008, I have received (now) four different places of business call my residential phone asking for "Josh" or "Joshua"and these people are persistent as all heck; no one by the name of Josh/ua resides here, is related, or a friend. Quite frankly, and not that it matters, I don't know a Josh or Joshua. I've been woken up as early as 4:30 a.m. and called through a day off, or a weekend, and even called at 10:55 p.m. I have, filed complaints, tape the calls or download the voicemail to my thumbdrive, sent cease-communication letters by fax (will NOT give my name or address because these places having my phone number is bad enough), and submitted a letter in all three credit bureau files because my residential number was recently updated (by me) and I don't want these calls to ruin my credit.

Does anyone have a fax number for this place so I can fax a cease-communication letter?

dumb [***] called me today asking me to verify my SSN and birthdate, why dont I give you my pin and ATM while I am at it.  Also my mother's maiden name is Merry F'in Smith!  Maybe tied to BofA.  Not interested in these jokers.

This number is from a bottom barrel debt company that claims to be a law firm but they are not.  If you Google them you will see that they have a bad reputation and have been sued numerous times.  They go after bad debts usually, debt that is very often too old for them to legally go after.  They will claim that you are being sued but it is just a tactic.  They can't sue you and they certainly can't sue you for debt that has already exceeded the number of years allowed in your state.  This company also will set up payment plans to pay off the bad debt( for the people they have terrified enough to believe them) and not actually give the money to the creditor.  They keep the money and the bad debt still stays on your report and yet another bottom feeder company can then try to bully you for this debt some more.  Don't pay them any money, sending them a cease and desist letter doesn't work, report them to the state and to the Feds.

I closed my BOA a year ago so I have no idea why these people are calling me.  Further more I have no idea how they got my cell number since it was not the number used on my account.  Very annoying.

Sto calling me now this is HARRASSMENT

This person called my cell- stated this call is recorded, then asked for someone-Could not understand the name they gave- then he spelled it- turns out this man was asking for my 2 year old child.  I asked why he would be asking to speak with my 2 year old- he states "Im not asking to speak to your 2 year old, why would you think that"- I stated the obvious, because you just asked for him by name.  I didnt let him utter another word and made it very clear that they had better never call my cell or try to contact my child again- WHO ARE THESE CREEPS- any names would be helpful, Im taking this to the FBI- grown (sounded old) man calling asking fro my 2 year old-WTF

These people called me today regarding a credit card that is not mine, I do not have a credit card.  They called twice within 20 minutes and I told them I am getting my attorney involved and I am.
