I spent 15 minutes on the phone with these people who have been harassing me EVERY day for a couple weeks now.  They seem to know SOME of my information about the account in question, but THEY ARE BY FAR THE RUDEST COLLECTORS I HAVE EVER SPOKEN TO!  They kept switching around the things they had just said to me, kept putting me on hold when i would ask questions, and the supervisor kept calling me ignorant and dumb! They just kept giving me the run around...they didnt even know what they were talking about!! I told them that I would NOT be giving them my money or my account info.  These people do not seem trust worthy at all.  If Citi Bank wants their money, they shouldn't have people like that trying to collect it.  Has ANYONE had a good experience with these people?

Got a message from Diana Smith, looking for John Doran Jr. file #1510787463....the bumm is my x-wife's x-hubby so he must owe big $ to someone, I assumed with CTI being a collection agency...anyways, I called and told them about the wrong number and the lady told me that they use a State directory with all kinds of name associations and they just call everyone on that list related to the BUMM the're looking for....so she removed my phone number from the list....case closed......that easy....

I received a call today from this number from a guy looking for someone with an address on my street.  He, Ron Smith, said she'd be very happy to hear from him and could I please pass on this message.  This was very unusual since my number is unlisted, and I don't know the person he's looking for.

i also get calls from this number  don't really know who they are and don't care . got another call this morning about 1100 eastern time with caller stating for me to call or have my lawyer call. this is getting old

Received a telephone call from 773-546-9100 and the woman said her name was Heather, that I'd definitely won a grand prize, which might be a new Lincoln Navigator, and that I should call Mr Russell at 866-299-8120 to receive the details. On this last call I received a vm indicating that Mr Bill Russell was unvailable but w/return by call within 5 min's if I left my name & phone number, which I did. Then Heather called me back in 10 min's, indicated Mr Russell was unavailable but that she w/now authorized to proide the prize info: I had definitely won a new car or $45,000; $2500, or a 32" flatscreen tv in a sweepstakes sponsored by Global Vacations, 5500 Frantz Rd, Suite 110, Dublin, Oh, 43107. After providing a winning prize number,I was then told that I w/report to the above address to scratch off a ticket to determine my prize. I asked when & how I had entered this contest & she replied that it was on line w/the last 6-18 mo's. She then wanted me to verify my personal information & I refused & the call was ended.

I got all your answers ladies and gentle man. First yall might hate me but I use to work at CTI and from what I read I did not call none of you since this were old messages but I'm going to cover everything about CTI.
First Cti is not a professional company. Is more like we city people like to call it ghetto. From old phones and especially the building cti has very rude and racist employees that swears in every sentence they use, even the managers lol. But about calling your family members all they do is they use a website call www.fastdataweb.com and search you (debtors) by your ssn, name, city, and state and it will show you a possible # or possible relatives #. Thats the reason why they are contacting all this relatives. Also when they ask your ssn they not doing any scam they are trying to pull your account just to let you know and also one hint. They can NOT call u more than 1 time a day is illegal under the FDCP (Think it meant Fair Debt Collection Practice) is a 24 hour rule ex. i call you monday im NOT suppose to call u tuesday but wendsday is the time to call u back. Also people from NY,NC, and CT they cannot leave a voice mail is Illegal in those states. Also this place is located in 3333 W. Arthington Chicago, IL take the second floor "ghetto" elavator turn to your left go all the way down thats the GHETTO office. About Scott I dont think you going to hear from him since he got laid off or fire on feb. Also you know why they threat you to pay this. The reason why is they are trying to hit their bonus goal. Ex you owe $1,200 and you paid it off I get 28% of that amount to hit my goal. So now why you know why they sound thirsty about when they say u got this much time, is bull sh*t you got any time as many as you want but of course fee are adding up every month you dont pay. And about Citi bank, this dont mean you got an citi bank it means you took out a credit card from a store for ex. they have good year and zale those r stores they work w/ citi bank. Just they let the whole info the employees are 90% African American,7 % hispanic, and 2% other. So all I did is answer peoples question and how unproffesional and racist this place is. received an official sounding voice mail from Lisa Gibbons. She asked if I knew what my son was into and said she could help. (My son is a 28 year old family man)

It seemed fishy so I starting looking on the web to find out who she is. Whatever her scam is it has been running for years.

I wasn't available to answer the call - but a "Mr. Simms" called from this number (773-265-2600) and wanted to speak to me about an 'X' spouse that I haven't known or seen in around 15 years!!!   He refused to give any info as to why was calling to the person that answered.

It's undoubtedly tough for a collection agency to run down deadbeats, but these folks need a few dozen lessons in courtesy.   OTOH, it does make it easy to tell 'em to 'F' off...grin.

I recieved a message from this number today at 2:45pm and again at 3:00pm EST
The caller stated it was in regards to a beneficial decision in a court case with a case number and that myself or my lawyer needed to contact them.

Received my 1st call from a company called CTI today.  What a joy it was to speak with such complete idiots.  It is on a Citibank account which I have been trying to workout a hardship plan on for the past 4 months.  These people at CTI are beyond rude and they violated most of the laws governing credit collection in our first call.  They refused to give any information on their company or even leave a contact number.  I will be calling CITI Recovery in the morning to try and get this worked out.  It concerns me that a company like CTI is doing business with so many large companies.  I can't believe they do not monitor these agencies more closly.

Left a message on my phone with a scary and intimidating voice and said his name was "Zachary Fields" and said: " . . . I need you to contact my office. Do not ignore this message. . ." He started to talk about what the call was about and then mumbled so I could not understand. my caller ID registered CTI Inc with phone number 773-265-2600 but then he instructed me to call 1-866-471-7100 ext. 2628.

This company keeps calling me about a credit card that is not mine and telling me that I need to send them a letter in the mail explaining that I'm disputing this, etc, etc.  They call all the time and ask for personally identifying information but I don't give it to them.  I'm about 99% sure this company is a scam company trying to commit identity theft.  I've reported them to my local police department.

A collection agency basically cross reference everyone that may have come into contact with you directly or indirect.  So may it be your last roommate or a relative or a friend of a friend, the new owner to the house you sold 7 years ago, it does not matter.  They basically mix and match until they hit someone that says ... the BIG YES, I know the person. You are then placed in their database.  Thereafter, you can expect to get more calls, almost forever.  I wouldn't return any calls if you don't even remotely resemble the name.  They just mix and match last names.  Get a free full credit report, and you will see the spider web of names associated to you.  That is the source of information they start off, and then they use the address to cross reference everyone that lived in the same house, and everyone that lived in the same house with everyone they lived with and every relative they have!  All public information.  Hope that helps.

They called my home and left a message stating they needed to contact my neighbors and even gave their names. If this is a collection agency why in the world are they calling me?

They continue to call our house and we have reported it several times.  This needs to stop!!!!!!!!!!

This is the second time they called asking for my neighbor or how she could get a hold her. They gave me her name but I said I didn't know who she was. I told them to quit calling me and hung up.

I got a call from the same number. The lady name was Miss Temer she claimed she left several messages but I only have two. This number just popped up on my phone. She was very rude let me a message saying that I have 10 to respond to her by COB 5:00. Then she turned around and told me don't ignore my phone call.

Be aware of these people because they are  performing scams. They called me and I caught them lying asking and verifying such information that doesn't even exist and afterward telling me that I have to give them my social security and some confidential info's. After the long talk and asking them why they don't have any correct information regarding  my CREDIT CARD debt  that I never owe, they continuously transferred me different agent who sounded the same as the previous agent who I spoke to. After confronting them about the malicious phone call and told  them that I am going to sue their company agency, they started swearing and cussing at me then hanged up. THOSE [***] NEED TO GO TO JAIL FOR HARASSING PEOPLE AND PERFORMING THIS ILLEGAL ACTIONS.
