We received a call from this number claiming we'd won a prize (a car, a trip, or a TV), we only needed to sit through a 90 minute presentation (undoubtedly a high-pressure sales pitch). They also claimed we'd entered to win in the last 12-18 months, which is a complete lie since my wife and I NEVER participate in contests or giveaways like that. After some research online, I discovered that they are a deceitful marketing company called Mitchell's Communications Group, based in Illinois. I received a call today from Paul (same person I spoke with on 11/12).  Today’s call was from 773-358-1470 with a caller ID of Illinois.  He asked me if I went to the presentation for World Class Travel.  I told him no and he asked why.  I told him that if I had indeed “won” anything I would not have to jump through hoops and sit through 90 minutes of sales pitch.  I wasn’t interested in joining a “travel club”.  He tried to tell me that this was not the case.  I suggested that this was all a scam and that “Vandell Communications” didn’t really exist.  Here’s the best part; Paul asks, “Are you a God-fearing person?”  I said, “No, I’m an atheist.”  End of conversation.  Paul say, “May God bless you, have a good day”, and hangs up.

I Googled 773-358-1470 and found that a number of people have reported this number as “Mitchell Communications”.  I also found a website, http://www.mitchellcommunicationgroupllc.com, the web site is one page with a picture of the Chicago skyline saying that they are “Faithful Marketing, LLC”.  So it seems that this company has a number of aliases.

Same message as others have received ... on my cell phone no less ... this is a scammer ... really ... how do these people get away with this?

Same as everyone, it's ridiculous really. How come some can get through the do not call list? Frustrating as I just moved back to NYC from Chicago so I thought it might be something important, but nope, just an idiot pitching something!

I'm so glad this web site is here.  Every time i get a bogus call I check, and, ta-dah...  drumroll, please....  there they are.  I got the same call, with call center noise in the background (gee, I bet they give away a LOT of prizes!), same script.  It's always something.  Now I have another number to block.  The thing that really irks me is that they know my name.  It's not anonymous.  So, where are they getting the lists from, I wonder?

I got the same message today as everyone describes. I'm in Florida. Caller ID says Mitchell Communications.  I'm on the do not call list.

Chantal (or whatever the hell her name is) is @ 773-358-1470 extention 125, give her call, I just did. Made it nice and long winded, think I'm going to write a script that calls that number and itterates through every extention I can think of and leaves a 2-3 minutes blurb of idiocy. I can kick it off before I leave on vacation next week. wonder what a week straight of random messages will do. Maybe they'll block me? ;P
