Just rec'd a call from Chicago, Il.  No message was left, and I do not give my cell number to anyone.

Telling me I won a trip. Total scam. They needed me to pay taxes on the trip. I had fun with it and put them on hold 3 different times. Wanted to see how long I could keep him on so he had less time to scam someone else.

I'm also in the Cleveland, Ohio area and received a call from this number 20 minutes ago.
I didn't answer.

I had a co-worker who used to ask the caller  for THEIR personal phone number.
When refused, he asked "why not?"  as they had HIS number.

He also puts them on hold a few times.
Good job using the "hold" technique!

I live in Akron, Ohio area.  Received call yesterday on my company cell phone.  Where they got the number from I don't know.  I said hello twice...no answer.  Finally, man with heavy foreign accent is connected to me.  He said I applied for a contest last year for free trip.  He said to me, "It was from last year, so long ago that you probably don't remember."  I didn't apply for any trip, but didn't tell him that. Knew it was a scam but didn't call him out on it.  Instead I told him I don't have time to take off from work and can't be going on any trips.  Told him to give my free trip to someone else.  Hopefully everyone knows to beware of this kind of stuff.
