Call to my land-line at 12:05 Pacific, claiming that I have been a loyal TELUS customer, for many years, always paying my bills on time, and he wants to give me a discount.  It is strange that he can see all this information, but he could not tell me my account number, nor could he see my telephone-number (the one he used to call me!).   I told him that my front-door camera is showing a delivery-person needing a signature from me. When I asked for his contact information, he said "Zack at 778-719-3836".  I ended the call. Bye, bye, you filthy SCAMMER.

A few minutes later, he called back.
I told my 13-year-old daughter to tell him that her father told her to not talk to strangers.
He said he will call my mobile-phone, which actually is the non-emergency number for the local RCMP.  That should surprise him.

Did not answer. If Telus their name shows up. Scammer

Thanks for this. He asked me for a credit card number to "hold" $30 for the loyalty discount. Good thing I suspected something was off and said no thanks.

I received that same style of call claiming ~40% discount on home and cell. They asked for my email address and I indicated they would have that info already. They replied they were promotional dept so couldn't access that. I said good bye.

A scammer called from 778-503-0472 this morning and left no message as the “leave message recorder” kicked in’ While verifying this call from BC, it was learned that being a scam call trying to extort money.

I received a call like the one described above on February 5, 2025. Same number as shown here, same method, claiming to offer a discount on Telus services for long-term customers. I did not agree to any transaction. I phoned Telus the morning after and they confirmed that no such program exists. Best response (what I should have done) is to ask for the full name and employee number of the caller right at the start of what became a too-long conversation.

Over 5 calls in last month from this number and lots from 778 prefix...they get blocked from connecting and ringing by Ooma thankfully...

Very loud, busy call centre.  "Harry" with a strong accent said he was from Telus and had a special offer for me ...
