    i am more than willing to help with this situation. i just received another phone call for this scam, thats dated from 2008. i dealt with this last year with them calling me off and on for 2 months, at the business and on my personal cell (they got it from another employee, when they called looking for me one day) same as everyone else here, they called said that theres is an outstanding balance on an issue from 2009 and has still yet to be paid, said that i said yes to the deal, and that it was published, and we were sent a copy of the magazine for neighbourhood watch (cedar publication)....we have never recieved a copy, because they dont even have our appropriate mailing adress (which they would have if we had actually made this deal over the phone) not only that but i have a recorded msg from one of the "collecters" on my voicemail right now, just recorded it to my computer for proof, personally attacking me for not paying this bill, she actually quotes the number,  except she said its 1-888-454-3349 and tries to threaten to call my bosses to get me into trouble because she didnt like how i talked to her today.... the company told them to take it to court last year,  if this actually happened, if we had actually said yes, and actually gotten a copy....and have still yet to see results...its a complete scam, threating to bring it to a collectors agency and small claims court i spoke to john ( the supposed v.p) last year and again today....he told me that how it works is that they call and if we say yes, he is the one who calls back for all the information, for invoice purposes and he signs a piece of paper making it legitimate that this was their "legal agreement" ( him calling and signing a piece of paper with a date on it)...that he has phone records saying when he made the call....i told him we went over this last year, when they called looking for me to pay this "bill" i have proof i wasnt even there that day to answer this call, and now its a year later and im still dealing with this....they have no claim, no signature from anyone at this business, i asked him what we did, and he had no idea, if that was case, how could he have make an ad for a business if he had no idea what we did or what we sold...and i mentioned again like i did last year when we spoke, if the ad had our logo, he said yes i said thats impossible because we dont have one...and he said that he could find one on the internet....leaving me to believe this is how detailed this scam has become going to the great lengths of finding other businesses logos on the internet...i have gone in to great detail dealing with this people....this woman threated me today, to call me everyday and quote "disrupt" my life until i pay this bill......oh and i forgot mention....im the manager,...just an employee....i dont even own the business, and this is what i get to hear eveyday..... apparently....so please if theres anyone with anyway to end this, and if my help could be of any assistance you have it.....and they said that they faxed us a copy of the invoice last year (but were careful enough to not say that today when i asked them to fax us a copy like they did last year)....because we dont even have a fax machine...never have...not even a fax line..................and the number that i have that called me today too is 780-701-3712...try and call that one...they"ll pick up and i asked for john....ask for a steve or moe or shawn...im sure you'll get passed to the same guy

    the lady that called me today said the same thing "unprofessional" when i told her to go f*uck herself after spending 20mins arguing that this was a scam....ha!...i have video proof of the voicemail msg she left on my phone proving that she harassing me threating to call my bosses to try and get me in trouble and then told me on the phone that she (quote) " was going to call me everyday to disrupt my life until i pay this bill)...i dont even own the company i just work there and have been dealing with this for almost 3 yrs!!! this is getting way out of hand!!!!

    Same unscrupulous tactics being used against the company I work for in Calgary. Cedar publishing claiming we ok'd a ad, we did not, -  harrassing phone calls for over 2 yrs now.
    They were told to sue us, but as they have nothing to back up their claim, they choose to continue phoning. Even having the nerve to call us on our tollfree #.
    Could we not charge them with harrassement among a host of other bad things?
    Employees must be all relatives of Moe, as who else would take a scam telemarketing job whose sole purpose is to lie, mislead, threaten and steal?
    PLEASE NOTE - A NEW SCAM OF CEDAR PUBLISHING, they leave a recorded voice mail, (afterhours of course), claiming to be researching a local internet search - asking to confirm your company info. HANG UP. If you listen to the recorded voice mail, the request doesn't even make sense. HANG UP, HANG UP, HANG UP.

    Same [***] different flies. My case has been going on since Nov 09. I have talked to several "collection agents" both in office and "independant" "managers", "lawyers" It used to get me angry but now I have taken a different tactic. I phone "Lisa" every morning and use the exact same tactics in reverse. When are you going to delete my bill, when can I expect this bill to be voided, I need a date Lisa, what do you mean you can't do it get me to the people who can. I think you can come up with some origional and creative comments as long as they are polite it can't be construed as anything but a legiment responce to a fraudlent bill. "Lisa" told me several times she works for an independant collection agency. I asked here if the bill was legitiment why was there no intrest added. Why has this not gone to court?. Why haven't we been reported to Equifax or some other credit reporting agency?  I played along with the independant collection company for a while then one morning I phoned up and asked "Lisa" if she got my fax, her responce "just a second I will check up front." She came back on the phone and said no we havent recieved it yet. At this point I asked her If she didn't work for cedar publishing how could she check up front for the fax which I sent to cedar puplishing. She responded tthat dosent matter . Phone every day eventually it will work they cannot send fraud through the mail.

    I have been getting calls from cedar publishing quite a while now I have decided to be proactive instead of reactive. They have a story of buying the Edmontonian Magazine The previous owner was listed as Barb Deters so I phoned her up 780-482-5574 left a message no responce I phoned back talked to her she had no intrest in talking to me but in the conversation I thought I reconized her voice, it was "glennis" one of the people that have been trying in vain to collect the supposed bill they say we owe. She told me she was packing to leave town. Brings to mind rats leaving sinking ship.

They sent our "overdue invoice" to collections whic lasted but a couple of weeks before the collections firm agreed with me and gave the invoice back to MoeHammad. Now their "in house" collections as they call them keeps calling me asking the same questions and pulling out the voice recording card, which I have yet to hear. It's actually funny to me. I encourage the girl to keep calling as I'm sure she is making $12/hr, won't take long for this bogus ad to cost them my "invoice".

    Here is Pat's (not sure real name) number.  1-888-454-3349  ext.230.   She from collections for Canadian Missing Kids Magazine.  Give her a call every day and bug the s*%t out of her like she does with me.   Also had a interesting conversation with there guy from there IT department today.  Idiot.  Played me a recording from 3 years ago and claimed it was from Feb of this year.  I agreed 3 years ago to view there ad.  They sent me a proof.  I declined and faxed it back.  Never could get through.  Always busy.  Then eventually sent me an invoice.  I ignored it.  This spring they had a collection guy call me twice.  I told him to pound sand, twice.  Now they are calling saying that the old bill has been paid and that I have agreed too an ad for there latest publication and want payment.  Holy christ they are slow learners.

    I always try to keep them on the line for as long as I can.  Hopefully Moe goes broke paying for unproductive Boiler room antics.

    We have received several phone calls and faxes from this company. They state they have a recording of my husbands voice, which they have played back and it sound as though it has been tampered with to get the answers they wanted. We have stated that we will not be paying our bill, which in fact we did not ever agree to! When I mentioned to one of the gentleman that I would be calling the police, he stated for me to never call them again and lose their number, and in fact he should be calling the police on me! ha ha ..
    I did phone and report it to the police and am still getting calls, a Bill called me this evening. I told him I would not be paying the bill and that I had called the police and he laughed so hard at me. Telling me that he can't believe that I would really think that the things are on the internet are true, and that I am crazy!!! I then proceeded to tell him that HE can  lose my number and to stop harassing us!

    So is this the same guy calling me regarding magazine ad space in a magazine called Missing Kids News Report? I don't really know what to do or how to handle it? I called to say I didn't want it, but couldn't get through to anyone, never signed anything, never gave them any payment info and never saw or received a finished ad, now they are calling me saying I owe them money for 2 ads, and that they'll send me to collections? I don't think that they can actually do that, as they have no financial info on me, also it costs them money to use a collections agency, but I want to be sure that we are talking about the same people...the guy on the phone was super rude and sounded like the brother from Everybody Loves Raymond?

Although they did have me a little worried when I answered and heard that.  Now that i have calmed down, I have come to realize that this is probably there new way of scaring people to get money. People Beware!

    Same story gave them money for a couple of years, recieved a notification from actual Child Find stateing there organization does not solicit money and are not affiliated with this publishing company. Had my secretary look into it and red flags started poping up every where reported them to BBB  CFIB YOU NAME IT.Received call today Lea ext #226 (  Actual Answering Service For 16 Companies ) answering service at 10 in the morning Really ?  I gave to help find missing kids not pad somebodies  pocket .
