VISA security center scam making the rounds in Canada as reported on the news etc. for the past few months - number looks local but the giveaway is the 1- in front (LOCAL numbers calling you will not have a 1 in front). Message started out by claiming to be the VISA security center having noticed suspicious activity.... blah blah blah... I hung up. If you stay on the call they will ask you to prove your card is in your possession and try to get your card number, your PIN, expiry date and anything else they want to steal - DON'T BE FOOLED - Just hang up. If you are worried go check your account yourself, sign in securely online or call your local bank yourself at their proper, directory LISTED phone number :)
