- Pitbull| 3 repliesThis 'company' cold called my business number, asked for 'the boss' would not identify themselves or state what they wanted, rather they kept saying I can't tell you unless you are 'the boss'. Upon research I found that it is not even a Canadian company but an out of country group that routes its calls through a ghost call center in Edmonton, AB. They sell child safety handbooks. Apparently they expect that people will provide them with information without knowing who orwhy they are giving that information out to.

This woman still calls and starts talking like we are best long lost friends.

- AshleyThey have called twice in the last week. Every time they start the call off with a conversation as if you're old friends - which is very deceiving. I knew the second time as soon as he started speaking casually - we only have so many clients and I know them by voice. Because I didn't recognize the voice and saw it was an Edmonton #, I knew right away. When asked who he was - he said Colin - when asked what company he was from, he said Edmonton> This was a little confusing as we work with an Edmonton branch. When he got to my boss she immediately asked who it was - when she said "Colin who?" he answered "Colin You..." So sneaky. These people are starting to get on my nerves. Is there anywhere we can petition these people out of business?

- BriI just received a call from this number asking for the owner by name and when I said they werent available the guy started telling me some Christmas jokes and talking as if he was an old friend of the owner.

I got a phone call from them today and I knew the reason of the call. So I replied very visely because of your heads up.
Thanks again - SaddleHere's a FIX for you if you've been called by 780-702-2897. The company is RMC, "Regional Maple Leaf Communications" in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. They print and distribute childrens books, supported by advertising dollars.
What their whole shtick falls apart is the repeated calls we get, unsolicited, on our main office number plus our work cell phones. There's a lot of doubt they are actually in the business of printing books...or raising money through telemarketing.
One way they might get a taste of their own medicine is if people called their main office number 780-420-0193 using Google Voice. Let it ring until the secretary answers, says "hello" about 3 times, and then she hangs up. Simply hit "redial" and walk her through the exercise again. She was very helpful even. - pissed off chick replies to Pitbull| 2 repliesI just got fired from this [***] company. The reason why they fired me? I wasn't fit to their standards and didn't meed their expectations. I got a sale within three days of being there. They don't care who you are, nor do they care how much you need that job. Might I add that part of the training period teaches you not to tell the secritary who you are but say "It's a business call for the boss." which if I was a secritary and was told that, I'd hang up instead of connecting the call. Not only that, their call list is [***] too, I actually called dial-a-bottle. Why in the hell would they even think about putting that number in children's books?! I seriously recommend NEVER working here. It's good pay, but you won't survive. Thay's another thing! BY LAW, they are supposed to have your final pay ready for you within 48 hours of termination. I waited an HOUR at the front desk to be told it won't be ready till Friday.

Straight up lie to you and say that your company has done business with them for many years. It goes on and on. Horrible company - the last time I spoke to them I told them I didn't want them to contact my office anymore. They are going to hear that in a much less friendly manner if/when they call back.
