they keep calling they know my name when I answer they ask for me by name when I confirm by touching 9 they hang up all automated call calling and claiming it is a business matter

message says is blue valley marketing company and I have no idea why they would even have my cell number since it's in the no call list

Call 785-799-3500 and ask to be removed from their call list.  The lady was very cooperative.  We'll see if it sticks!

For the information of the naive people out there that believe in the power of the "Do (Not) Call" list.

The list is NOT "Do NOT Call", the list is "PLEASE call!".  These lists are published and sent to all kinds of telemarketers, and now, just like replying to spam mail to "unsubscribe", they now know you have a good phone number to call.  If you didn't have a valid phone number, it wouldn't be on a "Do Not Call" list, right?

I just bought a home phone, and it is NOT on ANY list: call, do not call, please call, or any other list.  Guess how many calls I get?  NONE!  I would put money on the FACT that if I were to place this number on a "Do Not Call" list, that I would have telemarketers calling daily.

Bottom line: Do Not Call is a scam designed to raise money for your government.  You put your number on it, the government sells it to telemarketers, because it is a valuable commodity to both parties.  The government can guarantee to telemarketers and anyone else that asks that these numbers are good, people are COMING TO THEM to place their number on this list!  Telemarketers know this, and pay the government top dollar to sell the Do Not Call list to them!

If you believe that the government is looking out for your best interests with the Do Not Call lists, please get in touch with me for the real estate I have for sale.  GREAT deal!  The Do Not Call list is a government fund raising tool, plain and simple.  Want to stop scams?  REMOVE your phone number from the "Do (Not) Call" list.  If you have a number on your Facebook page or any web page, DELETE it.  Telemarketers have sophisticated tools that harvest phone numbers from web pages as easy as they can e-mails.  Remember your little friend who says, "I lost my phone, hit me up with your phone number!", and you said, "Sure!  My number is 785-555-1234" in a comment?  SUCKER!  You just sold your number to the same telemarketers you cry about calling you every day!  Not just that, but you didn't even really "sell" your number, you happily gave your number to the telemarketer with a lovely message saying, "This is a working phone, please call me any time that is convenient for you!  Thanks!!"

Use your brain, apply a little logic.  It does wonders to play Nancy Drew and solve the mystery, even though it's not that much of a mystery, nor even that difficult to comprehend.

I received a call on my cell phone from this number.  The caller hung up after asking for my first name and I said, "this is he."

No message left - called numerous times.

I answer and they hang up - PITA

Called me several times a day at work extension. Hung up every time I answered until today. They asked for my correct address so they can update their records for my subscription to some magazine. I said no you may not as I don't want any magazine and hung up.  Let's see what happens

Called me twice today.  I know who calls me and unrecognizable numbers are always telemarketers. The woman on the phone was calling from a calling-center because I could hear the cackling of the other telemarketers in the background.

I often hit the answer button on my phone and immediately press mute. For all the times I've answered the phone and heard dead air on the other end followed by a click after I say "hello", hearing them on the other end saying, "Hello?  Hello? Is someone there?" is sweet revenge.

Same here -- they call, I answer, they hang up.  It's been going on for a long time.  Very annoying.

Called my work number, left no message.  If it's not worth leaving a message, it is not worth calling me.  Get a clue.

My douche of a receptionist put this call through to me. I didn't pick it up and they left no message. Pretty much a first for this specific number.

Phone rang @ 9:33AM---I answered------silence on their end-I stayed on line----use their minutes & run up their bill, heard them end call. Really important, huh---call & say nothing. Above the phone # letters BVTM  showed.

This number calls about once a day... Just received another one 2:10.  Nothing on the other end
