Got a call last night at 9:18pm Arizona Time!!! I did not answer it or call it back. But I figured it was something stupid so I looked it up. Glad to know I am not alone. Adding to my personal "Do Not Answer" phone contact.

Called twice by this number at 1pm.  Got a recorded message in Spanish.

Just got a call on my cell phone from this number on my cell phone and am on a DNC.  No one answered, I called back and got the message that this number in not in service.

Called my cellphone at 2P EST. Went to voicemail and no msg left. Added to my "unknown do not answer" list.

Yes we think they hacked into our school everyone got it even the teachers

Yea, a kid in our school answered it and they told him that they were going to kill him. Started laughing and hung up.

Wife just told me about this call today and she is a teacher

Called 9 pm pst  from Florida and was a Spanish recording

Just got a call from this number 10:05pm, NOT COOL!! I'm on a dnc  list but blocking this number. Clearly I am not alone....argh!!

I received the call at 12:50pm.  I am on the do not call this.

called me yesterday. I found they are supposedly BellSouth.

In Spanish but it seems my name was mentioned.

It was a recording in Spanish, saying to push number 6.
Didn't understand anything else.  Hung up and looked up the number on Google.

Call at 6:46 PST, did not answer but searched online to see if this was a robo call.

This number called me at 8:11pm, form Florida, and I tried to call it back but it said it was and invalid number

Who’s calling now? That number doesn’t ring a bell. Hold the phone, says the Federal Trade Commission. You could be a potential victim of the growing "one-ring” cell phone scam.

Here’s how it works: Scammers are using auto-dialers to call cell phone numbers across the country. Scammers let the phone ring once — just enough for a missed call message to pop up.

The scammers hope you’ll call back, either because you believe a legitimate call was cut off, or you will be curious about who called. If you do, chances are you’ll hear something like, “Hello. You’ve reached the operator, please hold.” All the while, you’re getting slammed with some hefty charges — a per-minute charge on top of an international rate. The calls are from phone numbers with three-digit area codes that look like they’re from inside the U.S., but actually are associated with international phone numbers — often in the Caribbean. The area codes include: 268, 284, 473, 664, 649, 767, 809, 829, 849 and 876.

If you get a call like this, don’t pick it up and don’t call the number back. There’s no danger in getting the call: the danger is in calling back and racking up a whopping bill.

If you're tempted to call back, do yourself a favor and check the number through online directories first. They can tell you where the phone number is registered.

If you’ve been a victim of the “one-ring” scam, try to resolve the charges with your cell phone carrier. If that doesn’t work, file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Communications Commission.

And as a general rule: Read your phone bill often — line by line. If you don’t recognize or understand a charge, contact your carrier.

just got a call from this number 786-204-4348, woman's voice speaking Spanish, I did not understand... when I redialed the number, it said that it was not a working number, not sure what is going on, please beware!!
