Those jerks were very persistent and constantly telling me they were going to sue me and my wife.... for one credit card!!! 6mths later find out I had a judgment and now BOA... is garnishing my damn paycheck... with the economy these days you think they'd have a heart...
CollectCourt is retained by Bank of America...to apparently negotiate out of work... should have claimed bankruptcy...or call them to settle for 50%

Called saying my sister Sherri owed the money you could barely understand what they were saying and I hung up on them. I am reporting them to our local authorities.

I have spoken to the morons at this number multiple times and explained to them...in english, very slowly so they can understand the words...that after a long illness and being out of work for a year because of that illness that we are filing bankruptcy and gave them..again..our attorneys name and number and still, we get calls.

Sure, I would love to pay my debts but cancer doesnt seem to co-operate in the work enviornment so its kind of hard to work right now.

Threatening me and yelling at me is not going to make money magically appear. So stop calling.

These idiots just called us. I guess they are legit, just not very smart. In our case, they were looking for someone with both a different name AND a different address!!!

It's bad enough that they can get away with some of the tactics they use on people who do owe money for one reason or another, but at least they should check their info first and not harass those of us who do pay our bills!

I have a major problem with any legitimate company that won't leave a message explaining why they are calling.

They identified me by name, and said they had a very important business matter to discuss.
In order to proceed, they needed to verify some additional information.  
They asked if I was born in 1925 - I told them I was not.
They asked me if my middle initial was P - I told them it was not.
At that point, she thanked me for my time and concluded the call.
Sounds like their most recent new hire class has a bit more decorum than some of the people the other posters have dealt with in the past couple of years.

I keep getting calls from this number about a Bank of America account.  They have my name and phone number, but I don't have an account with Bank of America.  They won't recognize this and keep calling me.  I just ignore the calls now.

Dont settle with these people. I settled and got a call a month later that it really wasn't settled. Mr Min is a crook if you get a call from Mr Min at 800-565-6142

first of all, a collector job is a real job. you have a job to pay your bills, and collectors have their collection job to pay theirs. if it wasn't for those people not paying their bills, us collectors wouldn't have a job like this. so, i guess we gotta say thank you detors...for making a job opportunity for us.

secondly, please dont generalize all collectors are a**holes. some of us really try to help debtors to get out of collections with our best abilities. but since most debtors had bad experience with another collectors before, debtors probably already has a mind-set that all collectors are bad. so i guess we should apologize for any misunderstandings.

last but not least, if we called you and we have a wrong #. tell us to delete your # instead of hanging up or ignoring the call. keep in mind that there might be serveral other agency trying to contact the same debtor we're looking for. so dont assume it's the same company that's keep calling you. common sense. the debtor probably has 5 other creditors.

TO DEBTORS
we know you went through financial hardships, or else you wouldn't be in collections. if you dont have a job, at least make a good faith payment (the minimum: $20, $50 a month, ask your realatives, friends) to show the bank that you haven't forgot this OWEING debt, the money that you BORROWED from the bank (aka, not your money) so there is absoloutely no room for you to dectate your own terms. the collectors will try to work around you, if you co-operate with us too. however, if you have a job and still unwilllng to make a good faith payment...that's a differnt story. i'd give a applause to collectors being "rude" to you. it's a bill..just like all the others bills you have, that you pay for. it's never going to go away unless you do something about it. i suggest for anyone that's in debt to get up and do something about your bills instead of dwelling over your life and the things that happened in the past. stop pitying yourself and get back on your feet, set your life back on track. it's not end of the world...nothing is impossible. be more optimistic and positives WILL happen. i believe it, many people believes in it and you should too. therefore, no matter what situation you're in, there will always be a solution. (i do know how it feels to be in hardships. so please dont assume that i dont know how it feels like to be in your shoes)
oh and also, when you have time read this book called Napoleon Hill Law of Success.

They are Collectcorp out of Alabama.Collection company for Bank of America Credit cards or FIA card services. Numbers they also use 800-678-3052 and 800-562-6420.

Said they were Gateway and recording the message.  Asked for personal information... yeah, sure!  Anyone calling me on an 800 number does not warrant ANY answers.  Doofuses!

they call here often always looking for someone that has never lived here.  I know who they are looking for and exactly where they can find him but if they think they will get that information from me before I receive a real fat check they got another thing coming.  If I'm gonna do they're effing job they are gonna pay me for it and I don't come cheap.
