Claims they are a debt collector.

Cruise promotion line...missed dialed my credit card number and got a short survey for cruise. Only 65$ person. ..sounds to good to be true...then another guy gets on the phone and immediately gets rude with me when I am not ready to give out my card info...I request to speak back with the young lady who I was previously speaking to and he answered "why? Your not interested anymore right?" I said "yes, actually very interested but your actually scaring me off now...can I finish up with the lady I was speaking with? " HE HUNG UP RIGHT IN MY FACE! IT MUST BE TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!!!

Said I won a cruise

Was calling Capital One. Entered 277 instead of 227.

After I realized it and called the right number I looked at my primary call log (the built in one on the cell phone) and it just showed the numbers but I decided to look at the log on my Mr. Number app. It says "Capital One." for both.

So the darn scammers KNOW people like me will make this mistake and likely several more will. And by having they banks name as theirs in the call log means a chance of repeat "misdialed" callers

As another commenter noted, this is one number off from the cusstomer service number for Capital One credit card company.  I also  misdialed it, and got the misleading "you have won a cruise" spiel.  So watch your dialing when you do have a need to call Capital One!

I made that same mistake. And dial 277 instead. They was offering me road side assistance, free oil change for a year etc. when I started asking question. I realize this wasn’t my bank.
