Getting multiple calls on cell.  I don't answer.  Call number identified as (800) 294-1855.

Called me once so far pretending to be Downey Savings Fraud Prevention. They wanted my Card Number and Zip Code, past that I just hung up. Sounds like a dirty scam.

Automated call claiming to be from my bank, mentioned that suspicious activity was detected in my credit card account. The call asked me to verify my name, last 4 digits of card, and zip code (may have asked more - I hung up at that point and called my bank). My bank confirmed that there had been suspicious activity on my account but said that the call from 800-294-1855 did NOT come from them, so I suspect that it was the credit card thieves themselves trying to get more information (like my zip) to use my card again.

It actually WAS from my credit union's credit card provider.  They identified the charges they were specifically interested in talking about and they were charges I had made.  I had previously had fraud on the same credit union's credit card so they have me on a very tight fraud alert leash.

Immediately after I placed an online order using my Credit Union debit card.  I get a call (that I did not aswer, because of unknown caller ID) that stated they were from my bank's Fraud Prevention Department and there had been fraudulent activity on my card.  Messaage stated to call back and have my credit card available or and 8-digit number they provided on call.  I did not call them back.

After checking this I called my credit union, they verified this is their fraud department line, so they seem legit

This is 100% Wright Patt Credit Union's fraud protection. I would like to select "legitimate" as a call type in this site's form. But they are all negative call types. This number should NOT BE SHOWN HERE AS FRAUDULENT.

I just received a call from this number on my cell and work desk phone.  It is Wright Patt Credit Union's fraud protection.

Posing as a tone to get social security numbers

Totally WAS Wright Patt Credit Union Fraud Prevention.  I after giving me the last 4 of the card and the amount, I did have to enter the last 4 of my SSN and my billing Zip.  This is totally legitimate.

Wright-Patt Credit Union fraud protection automated line. Call from this number alerted me to fraudulent charges on my debit card. Hung up and called Wright-Patt Credit Union and they verified the charges.

This is legit - It's technically Visa calling on Behalf of Wright Patt Credit Union. The person I spoke to asked for very little information, but verified my transactions. I called Wright Patt right after I hung up and they verified that the number is from their Fraud Prevention department.
