You may choose to stay on the line and wait for a representative from the telemarketing company to come on the line. When a live person comes on the line, you can decide if you are interested in the offer. If you are not interested and do not want future calls from that business, you can ask the representative to remove you from their calling lists. Since there may be multiple businesses contacting you, you may need to be removed from numerous calling lists before noticing a decrease in the number of telemarketing calls received.
   
You may choose to manage these calls using AT&T products. Under the Annoyance Call Products tab detail descriptions are provided for Caller ID, Privacy Manager, and Voice Mail which will help you manage unwanted telemarketing calls.
   
You may choose to have your name added to the National Do Not Call Registry to reduce the number of telemarketing calls you receive from national companies by calling 1-888-382-1222 or via the Internet at www.donotcall.gov. Certain calls are exempt from the National Do Not Call List. For example; political organizations, charities, telephone surveyors or companies with which you have an existing business relationship can legally call you even if you have registered on the National Do Not Call List. For more information contact the FTC at www.ftc.gov.

I received a fax flyer from 800-331-4910 offering ridiculously low "vacation" trips and cruise from "Corporate Travel Department" all for $199.

I get at least 2 - 3 FAXES a week from "Corporate Travel Department" (doesn't say what CORPORATION it is, of course - DUH!!!!), advertising these awesome vacation packages (i.e., 5 days, 4 nights in Orlando and 3 days 2 nights in Daytona Beach, PLUS (drumroll, please!!!!!!) a 4 day 3 night Bahamas Cruise AND island stay, all meals included on the ship ALL FOR ONLY $199 PER PERSON (for the first 50 callers ONLY, of course)!!!!  But, WAIT, folks - that's not all!!!! EVERY RESERVATION WILL RECEIVE 3 DAYS AND 2 NIGHTS IN YOUR CHOICE OF PUERTO VALLARTA, LAS VEGAS OR HONOLULU HAWAII WITH ROUND TRIP AIRFARE FREAKING INCLUDED!!!!!! And, OF COURSE, space is limited so call Toll Free 1-800-331-4910!!!!!  Now, you can all try this (don't know if it will work or not), at the bottom of the page in fine print it says "If you have received this in error call toll free 1-877-243-8905 to be removed."  Hell, it's worth a shot.  Like someone on this board said, it's their dime - blow up their phone by calling them back.  Surely they have some means of tracking who's calling them.  Might just finally "get the message".  Good luck!

I leave the phone on the side of the payphone and it runs
up their 800 costs.

This is a bogus company. No one could possibly provide three trips for a total of 11 days ($33 per day including air fair!) If you call the number 1-877-243-8905 and leave your fax number/s, you will receive 3x as many faxes.  I'm reporting this to the FCC ~ for the second time.

I receive faxes from them on a regular basis myself.  Today I got one from them and actually called them.  After speaking to the very nice lady on the phone, I decided to give it a whirl. It is basically a Time Share solicitation fpr a location in Orlando.  I do alot of traveling and guess I will see how this pans out.  I will come back to this site after my trips and let you know whether you need to respond next time and get yourself one heck of a vacation deal or to place your number on the do not fax me list.

I receive the faxes myself.  I did call them today and after talking to a very nice lade on the phone, I decided to take advantage of this great travel opportunity.  I will let you know how it goes.

This is a travel agency called www.ArcFun.com. It used to be www.thetourcenter.com. (their phone number is 866-613-8382 or 800-331-4910)It is a scam. They can sell you very cheap travel package, but there are lots of hidden fees, such as $99 for booking fee, and $50 for something else, etc. The package is not fully refundable. On the BBB web site, they have the lowest rating of F.
