- JimThis is a legit company to check for fraud activity.
They verified my address w/o asking for my cc#. After confirming that I didn't make any purchases on Christmas Day at Best Buy. They cancelled the card for me and will re-issue a new one. Once I got done with that call, I called the number on the back of the card and verified that my card was cancelled.
Crazy.- Caller: ??
- JGAnd the scammers are scamming this web site posting false information. Number called my cell phone 2 days in a row. No one but family has cell phone number. Don't give out any information to anyone calling from this number.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Man| 2 repliesThe people posting on here that its legit have to be part of the scam. FACT #1 my bank DOES NOT know my phone number. FACT #2 The place who issued my card DOES NOT know my phone number. FACT #3 They had no idea who they were calling but they wanted my name, card number, and SS number, so I hung up!
- fd replies to Manno the bank provides the info to them they are contracted to do the calls for the bank, 2 they asked for that info for security just in case if the thief got your card info tried using it got blocked and tried to call in playing off as you, but if your don't trust it call you customer service for you bank and verify reason your bank may not know the number is probably cause they are owned by a bigger bank and branches have no clue so call direct cs not your branch
- The "Idiot" customerI had a guy named Mark call tonight. He me about a handful of small purchases. I had made all of them. The last one was for $16.00, for a product I buy at multiple stores, and I told him I didn't remember specifically, but that I could have, and that I wasn't worried about it, as I had made all of the other purchases for certain. He was very rude, and talked to me like I was completely stupid. Demanding to know for sure, if I had, or had not made the $16 purchase, and threatened that he could have my card cancelled. What kind of [***] do they have calling for them? Very unprofessional.
I told him he was rude. Tomorrow I get to see if he was vindictive and cancelled my card. I think Visa can do better.
I was so irritated, I called the number back, and asked if I could talk to the manager. It was "Mark."
I was told I could talk to someone higher named Claudia, but was put on hold so long I finally hung up.- Caller: Transaction Review Department
- Steven ToryProbably a legitimate service. They called me within a few minutes of using one of my cards online and asked if I made a purchase at (merchant name) for ($ amount). I saw little reason not to verify it. However, they did not ask for ANY personal or critical information, and I would advise anyone to NEVER give out the slightest piece of it, like the last 4 of your social or credit card number, bank account or anything else, not even your name. After all, they called me and they should have all of that. If it's legitimate, the only thing you should say is, "Yes, I made that transaction," or "No, I didn't," and call your bank or cc company to verify. Think about this: It's entirely possible it's an agent for the merchant that is calling, not the cc company!

- Steven Tory replies to ManI can't speak to your situation, but I called my bank and they verified that the call from this service was made on the date and time I received it, authorized by the bank, and for the reason I thought (to verify a recent online purchase). My bank also verified the phone number and supplied some of the CID names used (apparently they use several). Still, I would advise anyone receiving such a call to NOT assume in advance that it is OK, but be careful and check with your bank anyway. There are too many smart crooks out there, and CID spoofing is common.
- JennyWhoever says this is a authentic number must be very naive, just to say it nice. The 800-337-3392 is a SCAM ring. The actual number is different (888) 230-1570 in some cases. I called my bank and they had no idea of this company, the people saying here that this calls are authentic they are just part of the scam. If you ever ask them what is the name of the company they will not tell you, they need all your info before they tell you which company they are. Does it sound like an authentic company? They are also leaving comments here that they are good and authentic, DO NOT BELIEVE THEM.

- HelloI received a call from this number. The person, in very broken English said she was calling about my debit card. Not very sure of this I called my bank. Yes there was a question about a purchase with my debit card. I confirmed I had made the purchase, so all was well. The call was real, but my bank did say that anytime I questioned a call that I was free to call them. No duh really, I am paying you guys.
- Caller: company my bank was using
- AnonymSame name and number as the rest of you received. Forget it...I will call my bank Monday. I just got stung and a different agency found out. Had to get a different debt card. That was about a month ago. May be or may be not legit but this guy is not going to deal with them if I feel uncomfortable about how they come off when called back. The guy wanted my last four digits. I said "What is this about ?" He said "Well I don't know ...well find out ! " .....My next comment was " CLICK."..I will talk to my bank instead Monday.

- MichaelThis is legit. Without my disclosure, the teller had exact transactions amounts, times, and dates for the past 24 hours. They asked me to verify, not to disclose. I gave them no information they didn't already have.

- NMFor all those posting this is a scam, it is not! I called my credit card company and they verified that indeed, it IS the service they use for verifying purchases. I do not know why someone would say it's a scam, when it is in fact legitimate. I understand the concern and caution but this is a valid company just checking that your credit card has not been used fraudulently.

- AFT replies to AFTCC fraud line. Verifying purchases.
- MonicaDidn't pick up the call, but had a garbled 10 second voice mail that referenced my bank. Called the bank and they confirmed that it was a 3rd party fraud investigating group. The activity on my account was not out of the ordinary in any way. Looks like just trying to earn their keep by making calls. Not acceptable.
