- Tracy| 1 replyI got a voicemail from this number today. It was a recorded message from my bank about some recent check card activity and they told me to call 1-800-355-5096. It sounded like a scam, but I called my bank directly and it was a valid call. They were questioning some charges and wanted to make sure I had used the card for them and that the card hadn't been stolen.

- CodyIf you reply to fraud dept. texts with 1, then calling isn't necessary. I just got off the phone with them and they said sometimes the texts can get delayed for various reasons. Just make sure that when you text that they go thru, or else they'll call you or leave a voicemail. It's just a second way they can contact you in case of fraud or suspicious activity.
- Caller: NFCU - Fraud Dept.
- Call type: Valid
- Fe Fe replies to Rob DGuess what, I got the same call and I'm not a member. Been getting this call for last 6 months each month. Haven't called them back, but someone needs to tell them to check out their information from the Fraud Dept.
- Fe FeThe numbers they give are 1-475-208-2083 for outside United States and 1-800-355-5096. I do not have an account with these people. I'm handicapped and can not serve in any military capacity and been that way for last 30 years.

- B-Edwards replies to SteveNumbers and names can be spoofed. Call could still be from scammers doing some phishing.
The safe way to handle this sort of call is to not offer or confirm sensitive ID info and then call Navy Fed CU on a number you KNOW is correct to verify that they have been trying to reach you.
