This phone number was calling my office almost everyday. So I called the 800 number back and the lady removed my number off their dialer. Plain and simple. I suggest you guys do the same.

Why are they so rude and don`t want to understand what I am telling. I left them 2 messages explaining that I am on do not call list but still...
Is there any way to stop these annoying things happen?

In case some of you do not know what bottom feeder collectors are they they un-reputable collection agencys that buy OLD DEBT that has expired and try to collect....The debts are old and the collectors have no current contact info so they are constantly calling any old numbers they have in hopes of collecting just one of the old debts they purchase...BOTTOM FEEDERS!!!!

And for anyone who suggests that you pay your bill to prevent contact from these bottom feeders, don't be fooled, you will not be paying your old debt, it was written off, you will just be paying these dis-honest low-class collectors who will not work for a living and try to feed off others !!!!!

REPORT TO YOUR STATES INSURANCE AND BANKING COMMISION...YOU CAN FILE A COMPLAINT ON-LINE,VERY SIMPLE, AND THEY CANNOT LEGALLY CONTACT YOU AGAIN.....

I get calls from this number alot and at different times of the day. They need to quit. If it is a collection agency then they need to leave a better message or have the name show up on the caller id. Maybe they are chicken and don't want to hear what I really have to say.

I found the correct address and further info on this immoral, illegal, unethical and unprofessional collection agency. This following information may be very useful to many now and many to come...these people need to learn their lesson on how to treat civilized people who indeed have a life. Do not, I say again, do not give them any checks or credit cards as the collectors there will use them and do fraud. Check for yourself. They have already had incidents on many employees who took the information over the phone and pay their own bills with. This is ridiculous! They had an office in Ohio which they had to shut down. Also another in Boston, Mass. Oh! Let me advise you to. The owner is now driving a bentley and guess where that came from? They have clients such as MBNA, HILCO, METRIS, CHASE, RESURGENT (formerly known as SHERMAN FINANCIAL), GENESIS, WELLS FARGO, MERRICK BANK (MCM), and many more... I got a new phone number in 2008 and told the first debt collector, he stop calling but another debt collectorl start calling me looking for the same person, it never ends. it is wise to check your credit report often.

The Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ("FDCP Act")15 USC 1692 et seq is intended to eliminate abusive and deceptive debt collection practices.  It only applies to consumer, not commercial transactions.

Regarding contacting third-parties it provides at 15 USC 1692c(b):

(b) Communication with third parties Except as provided in section 1692b of this title, without the prior consent of the consumer given directly to the debt collector, or the express permission of a court of competent jurisdiction, or as reasonably necessary to effectuate a postjudgment judicial  remedy, a debt collector may not communicate, in connection with the collection of any debt, with any person other than the consumer, his attorney, a consumer reporting agency if otherwise permitted by law, the creditor, the attorney of the creditor, or the attorney of the debt collector.

Send a certified letter to ERC describing the facts about the calls. Say you believe that the debt collector is acting in violation of the Federal FDCP Act and (your) state law, including, but not limited to 15 USC 1692c and insert the above statute. Demand that it stop all contact with you immediately or you will seek recovery of civil damages, sanctions, costs and fees and will contact state and federal attorney generals' offices to enforce the debt collector's obligations.

These b@$t@rds keep calling me on my cell, I have 3 phones and they only call one of them, and this morning, they woke me up at 6 A.M.!  All in all they have called me 30-40 times over the past 3 weeks.  I am 64 years old, have no idea who these people are, and I want it to STOP NOW!!!!!!!   I buy minutes for my phones, and these people are wasting them. I do NOT answer the phone for unknown numbers.  I am beyond tired of it, this is stressing me out immensely!
