Or, if your phone has the functionality to do so, forward calls from this number to another.. such as a mental hotline.. or back to their customer support number. Also, if they say the call is being recorded, tell them, "That's fine, i'm recording it too"

I get these calls on my cell phone, but only once every few days and i usually ignore them. It's annoying, so might as well get the most fun out of it lol

I received this call claiming I entered some information and they wanted to validate my information for a Universal Disney vacation.  I asked what site they were and they replied, it could have been one of many, they had my birthdate and address.  I refused to given them any information, then not about an hour later, guess what they called again.  I said no........I then decided to call the number on my display and supposedly removed my number from their list.  We will have to see.  They claimed they were from America.......

I have been getting calls from this number everyday sometimes 2 times a day.. SO annoying!  They keep insisting to talk to my husband, when I tell them he is not home, the go on to ask WHEN will he be home. I figured it was like CC company, maybe payment is late, so I have been telling them when to call back. So annoyed to google # and find out they are 3rd party...

This # 800-391-9462  is owned by Gemma Communications in Toronto, Canada - Local # is 416-256-1800, they have a person manning the phones, she may put you on hold right away, hang up and call back, ask to have your number removed, she will say ok, mention that if they do not remove your number that you report them to the CRTC (Communication, Radio, Television of Canada), this is the organization in Canada that controls all the phone lines, if they do not cease, the CRTC can and will shut down all their phone lines and the owner of the company will have lots of explaining to do when that happens and the owner will have a very hard time getting new phone lines,  The CRTC takes abusive phoning very seriously and telemarketers know this and usually will obey.

These calls come from communication centers representing the various legitimate and not so legitimate businesses who hire them. The best way to deal with them is to take your business to a company that doesn't tolerate the way they disrespect their clients. I'm on a national do not call list, but that doesn't seem to stop the telemarketers. If you want to beat them, do so with their own game. When you do connect with one of their phone puppets and they say, "this call is being recorded" for whatever lame excuse they provide, assure them that you are doing the same. When the puppet begins babbling some incoherent shtick, return the favor. There's nothing like mutually recorded nonsense to get your point across. Time is money for these twits and if they know you don't mind wasting theirs, they'll soon get the message. Just mumble like a drunk in a windstorm, interrupt them every few seconds and occasionally offer them dead air when they ask a question. Their bosses will soon learn that you are not a viable investment of time. I do it, and it works.

This number called repeated but never left any message.  They would just leave the line open to use up my voice mail box space.  sucks.

when I answered, it took for ever for the fellow with the Indian accent to respond. (I suspect this is a call centre in India). Then he asked for my son and I said there was no one here by that name. He said he'd put a note there. So hopefully he will. I suspect this might have something to do with Rogers communications, because it is usually them who are calling for my son, since his cell phone is Rogers.

Cancelling a credit card affects your credit score, especially if you do it often or it is one you've held for a long time. Since you have business with PC Financial, they are not violating the DNC list or it's terms.

I just say, "NO you do not have my permission to record this conversation, turn it off immediately." You'd be surprised how fast they get off the phone. None of this "trying to save the sale" as they call it in the industry. Also, if they lie and say, "it's turned off" (this only happened once) I said, "good! mine IS recording now. Let me speak to the supervisor to verify you've turned of the recorder." SLAM the phone went in my ear.

Most of these calls are "robo" calls from a computer that dials all day and half the night with a "canned"  sales pitch, or ask for your credit card number, for example. If they can get 2-3 suckers per
100 calls [conversion rate] it's apparently worth the time and effort to them. Ignore these crooks!

    scam
try to play with it or just block it. For sure its not telemarketer, its more like a scam. They ask you for your personal information. Try to make up a good set of information such funny card number/address.. with some funny accent and play with the lady.
