Left a message new my name, but it was in reference to a person I have never heard of, when I called back they were pleasant, however it was someone who showed an address for a place I have not lived in over 6 years. They said they would remove my number. Is it even legal just to go off a list of people who have "lived at an address" If you can see I lived there you can also see I have had addresses after.

They called me during a class so I silenced the call. They left a message saying they were trying to reach someone in my family named Marquel. I don't know a Marquel and that was not my last name.

I get a call a day from chuck ervin, trying to reach my brother, who I do not have contact with. I do not answer and let it go to voicemail.

This caller is now calling my neighbors and family members.  I have decided to call the commonwealth / state people about this company.  Also, it is illegal for them ask friends or neighbors about you or if you are home.  That said, people are trying anything at any lengths to gain information about you - Why don't they email you or send mail.  They asked question like - does he live beside you when calling my neighbor.  WOW    -- I have also contact a law firm and a judge that is a family friend.

There is a federal law called the Fair Credit Reporting Act enforced by the FTC that may help you all. See clarkhoward.com search for the act. He has a form "drop dead letter" that could shut them up. If a collection agency violates the Act, they can be easily sued.

"Jessica" left two messages last week both referencing "Tracy Travis", someone I don't even know! Not calling them back.

Not breaking any laws there.  Sounds like it would be easier to just pay your bills.

Just received a call from this company about another person that I have not seen in 30 years.  The VM they left was deceitful.  The message made it sound like they were looking for a reference.  They kept asking personal questions about what she did for a living, did she have a career, etc.  Don't know how they got my number.  But it is upsetting!  I am positive this is against FCRA.
