I just called them back and it was for a Vicki someone. He said that he would take my number off of the list and it would take 48 hours to take effect. We will see....

They called this morning and their number actually showed up on the caller ID. We get a lot of calls from people offering new credit cards and it usually takes a human speaking to those folks to make them go away- so I bothered to answer. The call was automated from "BOB" and asked for my husband- even pronounced his last name correctly (which is odd for a real human). They gave a number, a website, and a reference number that was WAY too long to remember. They properly identified that they are a debt collection agency and all information obtained will be used to satisfy the debt, etc.  I went to the website but it said that domain is for sale. Hmmm. That is odd. Reading all the notes on this site, it appears I can enjoy many, many more calls from this bunch. Yay, me! Good thing I went to law school and have the ability to take care of these [***].

keeps calling 2 to 3 times a day

"bill collectors".   Keep calling despite clear fact that they are calling the wrong person.  "Account" probably sold and re-sold to multiple recovery companies once a company realizes it's the wrong person - they lay it off on someone  else.  DO NOT TALK TO THESE PEOPLE.  ANY CONVERSATION WILL BE INTERPRETED AS CONFIRMATION OF DEBT.  Make them go to court - (they won't) - court filing instantly clears up identity problem and costs them filing fees etc.  These people are bad news - many financial experts strongly counsel to never speak with them.

Don't take these guys serious, even if you owe them money. Troll them and they will eventually get tired and stop calling you, that is what I do. I have offered them animals (Chicken, Donkeys, Hamsters) to settle the account. Once they see that they will get nowhere with you, they will get tired and sell the account to another company. I have fun with these guys.
