I've been getting calls from   800-496-4599  for several weeks, about 1x every few days at different times.  I saw they were listed on this website so I didn't answer.  Tonight I answered an 8pm call and got music playing, no voice, so I hung up.

I too have been receiving calls from this number.  I called their toll free number (800) 942-0015
and spoke to a very nice person who said they will remove me from their calling list within 24 hours. Hopefully that is the end to these annoying calls.

These people have been calling my cell for over two weeks!
I am on the Do Not Call List.
This should be illegal.

If you call their number 800-586-0013 and press 1 for a wrong number it will remove your number from their system.

This is ERC (Enhanced Recovery Corporation) a debt collector. If they are calling for someone that is not at this number, CALL THEM BACK! Their automated response allows you to report a wrong number! Being on the do not call registry does not stop someone who has a business relations hip with you, they will be unaware if you are the new owner of a number of someone who previously had the number. (Your phone provider does not notify all collection agencies "Hey this number no longer belongs to who it did 6 weeks ago"

They called me 3 times this morning in about 20 minutes. I was asleep (I work until 2am) They left no message, but I called back and was prompted to press 1 to report a wrong number, so I did. And if you call and actually speak to someone, don't try to talk about the account. Tell them "This is my number, you are calling me, and I want you to stop." Even if you are in debt, you have the right to instruct the debt collector to stop calling your phone. Then, if they continue, you have the right to sue them. You can't stop them trying to collect a debt you legally owe, but you do have the right to forbid them to call you. And if it's not your debt, then you have the right to inform them and tell them, if you want to keep calling me about a debt that isn't mine, we can meet up in court.

According to the Public Access to Court Electronic Records, Enhanced Recovery Company has been sued over 300 times in the last 3 years for debt collection harassment.? It does not get any better for Enhanced Recovery Company on the Better Business Bureau, either.? The Better Business Bureau has processed over 375 billing/collection issues, and over 450 total complaints, regarding Enhanced Recovery Company in the last three years.

Called the number you guys supplied and now listed first on their automated menu is press 1 to report a wrong number.  Entire call only took 55 seconds and it said it located my number and took it out of the system it should take up to 24 hours...lol...now that's funny

Ok people, here we go again. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT call these idiots back! It is a legit collections agency ( legit in the sense that they are trying to get someone or anyone to pay this debt) so they are calling to collect on old or sold debt ( as in abandoned hospital bills, services rendered, cell phones, etc., etc. ). FORGET the "Do not call list", it doesn't apply in this situation. Of course you could go the "sue" route but that will be years in the making and by that time, these jokers will be long gone and using hundreds of other numbers. Now listen up, when you call these jokers back, all that confirms is that you have a LIVE line and they will continue to call it NO MATTER WHAT! If you don't answer, eventually (usually 2 to 3 months) they will stop calling. REPEAT:  NEVER EVER ANSWER THESE PHONE CALLS... IF THEY DO, THEY WILL CONTINUE TO HARASS YOU FOR MONTHS AND MONTHS! STOP ANSWERING THE PHONE IF YOU DONT KNOW THE NUMBER!

They called me about someone who was not me to collect debt. If you call the number back, the first option you get is to have your phone number removed from the system. That is what I did. Hopefully, that will stop them from calling.

Thank you for posting the web site for erccollections.  The phone number on the web site is 800-942-0015.  The recorded message says to remove you number from their list press 1.  Then you enter your number.  The repeat it back and say allow 24 hours to remove.  Must get this alot.

Do not call them back. They will pickup your number from your caller id and research on you and try to collection tactic on you  from old dead accounts. Use your phone to black the number. from I have seen from early reply, that might not work, with all the numbers they used. Just do call them back, they want your info..

This number has called my cell  numerous times. I have no clue who it is or why they're calling. I just want the calls to STOP!

Keep getting calls from this number. They never leave a message.  I finally blocked their number.

This number keeps calling me, and won't leave a message. I will not answer for the fact I do not know who or why they are calling.  

I've been getting 2-3 calls a week from this number for a few weeks now. Phone is always on silent so I never answer.

i got  a phone call on my home phone and after 3 or 4 times her verifying i was who they called ,she hem hawed around and finally when i asked if she was a scammer she said she was having problems with her system and couldn't get my information.if it is a debt collection agency i have no out standing debts.o i think  i won't answer next time.

they are supposedly a collection company. bought call blocker. it works. will continue to block any number that doesn't leave a message or is annoying.

Called before 8 am and after 8 pm trying to collect on a settled debt from 2008.

I finally answered. The recorded voice asked for Francisco Acuna (not me). I indicated I wasn't him by pressing 2. For the next prompt, I pressed 3 to indicate they had a wrong number. I hope this stops them from calling me, but I'm not holding my breath. I assume it's the bill collector ERC.
