- msn replies to Doug| 1 replyCalm down Doug.
Xentel call centers call for many many things.
Oldtimers Hockey, yes.
Deaf Childrens Camp.
Police Officers Kids Clubs.
Wheelchair Sports.
Cerebral Palsy Kids.
Feed the Children.
Downs Syndrome Hospital.
Most of the "charities" that Xentel claims to be calling on the behalf of are scams.
But you are the only one called that I have ever heard defend them as calling as collection agents.
Pay your bills to the credit card company, Doug. Then you won't get calls from collection agencies.
Your hysterical and ill-informed little rant makes YOU look like the dummy. - jules replies to msnIf you actually call the number back, it has a message that says..."thank you for calling the old timers hockey challenge!"
- john| 4 repliesconstantly receiving calls from this number,as much as 5 plus times a day.
annoying to say the lease. - msn replies to john| 2 repliesJohn, you can stop or cut down the number of calls you get from Xentel.
Email dontcall@xentel.com. Include in your email your full name and phone number with area code - they already have that info so you're not giving them extra information. State " Do not call me". Ask to be removed from their active call lists and internal lists.
Send yourself or a friend a copy of the email to keep a record. If you're in Canada state that you will document all calls from Xentel after the date of your do not call email in a complaint to the CRTC (Xentel was hit in December 2010 with a half million dollar fine by the CRTC for not honoring their own do not call list). If you're in the States, tell them you will complain to the State Attorney General in your state and their state (New Mexico I think). Xentel is forbidden to call anyone in South Carolina and Colorado because so many complaints were rec'd. YOU CAN put a stop to those calls (for three years at a time). I emailed them two weeks ago using the above technique, we've gone from 6 calls daily some days to three calls in the first week and none this week. Good luck. - telemarketer replies to msn| 1 replyActually Xentel still calls CO actually doing a campaign right now....
- telemarketer replies to johnimpossible that you are being called 5 times a day from one xentel office.... call from a dialer system that only lets you run through one list of numbers 1 time... cant call more than once in a day unless requested... just request to be put on dnc not a big deal
- msn replies to telemarketerWe haven't had a call from Xentel in two months since emailing them at dontcall@xentel.com.
- AnonymousLol they have sometimes called the same list (group of numbers) 3 times in a day.
- JEMCalled would not leave a message or identify themselves. I will not answer these calls.
- JEMThet hace been calling everyday this week. But don't leave a message or name on name display.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- SauceJust call block numbers you don't want to hear from. If your service provider does not provide call blocking, maybe their part of your problem.
- Caller: 1 800 525 9241
- JEMCalled two today. Don't leave a message. No name on name display just a number.
- Caller: Zental
- jymmiI just block them with Shaw Cable Phone;
*60
wait for prompt...
# 01 #
the number is repeated back to you and then added to your block list...
I have about 14 now on my list since Oct 2011
All from telemarketers....
Really annoying when trying to get work done.- Caller: Mystery dead air...
- Call type: Telemarketer
- scumhaterThese criminal creeps have called me 4 times in the last 2 wks - since I know who they are I don't answer. But they are persistent boogers. Today I picked up and yelled much *$F&^ at the caller (it was a robo dial and took a minute for them to figure that someone was there). I know it won't last..next time they pretend to collect money for hockey, police, firefighters, etc etc etc etc, they will call me again.
This organization presents itself as a fundraiser....but it is mainly fundraising to support Xentel's owners elaborate lifestyle and to pay big fines imposed by courts for their criminal activities.
NEVER, NEVER give them any money and don't let them abuse or scam you. They are the scummiest people on this earth. If they say they are collecting money for oldtimers hockey, they use a woman or older operator. If they say they are collecting money for police or firefighters, they use a brisk sounding male operator (making you think the police or firefighters are actually calling you....and if you don't donate, they get nasty, making some people fear recriminations from police and fire services). Really scummy, right?- Caller: Xentel theives
- shitforfaceYou can read about my experience working for this company here
http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/tnq13/i ... marketing_firm/- Caller: Xentel DM
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- BigOnion replies to annoyedSorry. Used to work for Xentel- sure beat being homeless. Sorry, your tactic is wrong. (No need to be so clever.) The time lag happens when the auto-dialer takes it's own sweet time connecting the caller to the call. (Drives Xentel workers nuts- they HATE that. Makes them sound like, well, telemarketers.) Your tactic will get your call tagged no answer/not pitched, and you will likely get more calls. SPEAK to the caller- tell them Not Interested- why on Earth would they waste another call on you? Better yet, tell the caller, politely, but firmly, to please remove this # from his list and then ask them for the ELEVEN-DIGIT CONFIRMATION #. They'll know that your're wise to them, and they definitely will remove you- the last person they want to talk to is somebody who is hip to them. Warning: this won't take you off of everybody's list. so you'll have to keep it up for a while. Whatever you do, don't donate- that will REALLY get you callbacks. (Note; most of the outfits that Xentel fundraises for are good outfits- AmVets, VFW, American Legion. Ever consider donating directly? Nah.)
