Send this company a cesist and desist letter for all communications to be stop except by letter only.Jot down anything calls or harrassment by them to be used for a complaint to FTC. See that under no circumstances that no one can read through their envelopes. If you put it up by a lite you can look through and read that its a collection letter it maybe illegal. I believe that if two or more people take them to court for violations of the Fair Credit Act ect. They maybe subject to a $500,000 fine but there are specifics especially time to which court filings have to be filed. They will continue harrassments so it should be easy for some people to catch them. Look up Budd Hibbs. Know your rights and expect them to be violated at sometime. Know your statue of limitations both on credit reports and your state. You may have a pleasant surprise. I Hope. Your credit maybe shot because of the economy anyway and the loan sharks. It will change later we hope. Don't let them bleed you! Third party collectors buy accounts for pennies on the dollar and can settle for much less than you owe but they are greedy too.

this call comes in but they do not ask for anyone by name, since there are several of us living here I don't know who they are calling.  Until they call and state their business and ask to speak to whoever they are seeking I am deleting their call.  I am keeping a recorded record of the calls in case I have a need for them in the future.

They call, repeatedly - they say hold on, I'll transfer you and call gets cut off

John - I don't know why you think a cease and desist letter is only good for 10 days.  I truly hope you work for the company - that way when they contact my cousin again after I send a cease and desist letter for her my attorney will be taking the company to court for harassment, verbal abuse and threats.  

A legitimate company and a quality company aren't the same thing. I work in collections - there is no reason to tell someone they will end up on the streets or tell them that they aren't taking care of their family and what a poor excuse for a person they are.  Regardless of debt owed, this is not a way to be spoken to.  

The moment my cousin's divorce is done with preliminary stages and she is getting money in the bank each month she plans on paying them.  She's explained this - and the rudeness continues.  These people don't know her situation and I find it humorous that I'm sure they have a few bills they are behind on or have neglected to pay.  

If others continue to take this company to court they'll be paying much more out then they will be bringing in - I guarantee it.

I just received a letter informing me they are a collection agency and that I owe $348.00 to the Bank of America and that I I pay it in full no further action will be taken. There might have been voice messages but I am not sure that they were not erased.
