File a complaint with FBI at www.ic3.gov as FBI said to file a complaint there even if it is not an internet but regular fraud complaint.

Receivable Management Services Corporation is the name that my scammer used. It's obviously a scammer preying on people who don't know better. Not from America either. Long delay when answering as well which is an indication of a robo call.

They have been calling here, and just hanging up when they get my voicemail.  Today I called them back, and this is for a debt that a person who had my phone number previously (I have had this number since 2006).  Way back when we first got this number, we got lots, and I do mean lots, of phone calls from folks trying to get hold of the person who had the number before.  Apparently she does not pay her bills, ever.  I am just surprised after all this time to be getting calls for her.  They appear to be a legit company, trying to collect on very old debts.  The lady was very nice, and took our number off the list.  She was not rude, did not ask for any information like my name or address.  She seemed to know from their caller ID maybe, that this number is registered to a different person than they were looking for.

After receiving one call per day for a few weeks, I called up RMS, gave them my information, and they said I had no debts on record and that their calls do not come from an "800" area code. Contact info obtained here: http://www.rmscollects.com

    Lauren Glenn
These people called me with an Indian accent asking for me.  I don't admit what my name is and I ask them who they are.  He says his Indian name quickly as if he knows I can't write it down.  It goes back and forth where I ask for details about why he's calling.  He just keeps saying it's a "personal matter."  I tell him (over and over again) that Lauren does not have any personal Indian friends and if she did, they would say why they were calling if they were asked.  Only a scam company would refuse to say who they were.  I ask if they sent her something in the mail (knowing that it's mail fraud if they do) and they tell me to go check my mail now and see if it's in there.  I tell them that this proves that they can't track it and can't prove anything was sent.  In the end, I just hang up on them because they just keep calling.

I just got a call from this number. Ok does anyone know how to stop these types of calls? I get at least 4-5 calls a day from various people I never heard of and they all are listed as scammers online. One time I got a call and they knew my name and address but stated a debt I did not owe. Nor received anything in the mail. The rest are so fake it’s not even funny. One time a Chinese lady who could barely speak English from a Washington DC number said she was from the IRS saying I won 9k. Lol I repeated back to her and said the IRS is running free lotteries now and you want to put money in my bank huh? Lmao. Seriously if I owed something, I’d pay it but there are so many calls from scammers I don’t know who is who. As far as I know I don’t owe any money. The last call was from sprint saying I had to call this other non sprint number to add my credit card and make a payment through an automated system.  I really can’t stand this and I don’t have time to talk to scammers all day. Seriously! They should leave a voice message and mail you if it’s legit right?? I don’t know these people either. I didn’t answer but I get scammers constantly.. daily and all the time. I want it to stop!!

If you received a letter then there should be explicit instructions on there about how to dispute the debt and make them validate it. You have to do that within 30 days of receipt of the letter. That letter should be sent to them via certified, return receipt mail. Once they have received that letter they must stop all collection activities until and if they validate the debt. It doesn't sound like you took the time to read the letter since you said "something and thing".
