I first received a call from this # this morning it left a message to call another # but when I did it didn't work and told me to contact Alltel Customer Service. When I contacted customer service and told them what was going on they looked it up and found nothing and said that the number is a "PRANK PHONE CALL," they then transfered me to technical support; where they found and said the same thing. So, this number maybe a scam from someone trying to get credit card info. so, if anyone gets a message that their payment is late or missing, I would call customer service don't give the info to 800-672-2051, instead use your alltel cell and dial *611 thats programmed in all the new alltel phones under your contacts. I'm passing on what customer service and technical support told me.

These [***]! If they would allow I would provide them with info to garnish allegedely late payments... whatever!?!

Yeah Im not sure what's going on, just got a call from them, they actually did leave a message but thats the second time today already and its only noon.  I have an automatic withdrawl for this bill and it's already been taken out for this month so I dont know whats going with All Tel unless its because of the change over to verizon.

They call me and I don't have Alltel.

I just got an AT&T phone 3 weeks ago and had my 10 year old land line number ported over to it. A couple days ago I started getting collections calls from Alltel.  Strange.

I got a call from same number. When I called to chk up on it, it was alltel they asked if I knew a person by the name of ____. They said that person had a late bill and used me as a contact. She explained they probably just put down a random phone number and removed me from their contacts.Very nice and quick.

It's not over yet, I have gotten 4 calls already this morning and no one is there if I answer and no messages left when I don't.  Bill isn't late either so what the heck.

they have been told that it is a wrong no. but they are relentless. i agree that their should be a class action against them.

She left a message saying there is a problem with my account not being paid. Then left a number to call. I called the 611 on my Cell Phone & there is no problem with my balance.

They call me endlessly saying that the phone numbers on my account are invalid - which is odd because the only numbers on there are Alltel numbers.

When I answer it it ask if my name is **** ******** if it is press 1 and if this is not then press 2
So I press 2
The message apologizes for the mistake and ask me to call 1-800-672-2051
THen alltel ask for my cell phone #, which I enter, then I'm informed that I'm no longer a alltel wireless customer since Verizon has merged with them, It then transfers me over to Verizon customer support. Verizon has tried to block the number from calling , but guess what? IT KEEPS ON CALLING!!! everyday 5-6 times a day.
Verizon said they did not know what to do, They even called alltel and talked to them directly and were told that my account does not exsist in their billing system since the merge to Verizon.
MY ACCOUNT IS IN GOOD STANDING with verizon no late pays no penalties.
so then I was told by verizon that I should just change my cell phone #

I'm having the same issue.  You should set it up to block this number on your phone at verizon wireless.  I was told today to do that after three months of these phone calls.  I'm not an alltell customer.

1-800-672-2051 Has been calling my work place 3 times a day for 3 days now.  I have an Alltel account but my bills are never late and no one else here has Alltel.  I just added them to the call block lol.

I am not an Alltel customer and get this call several times a day.  I call the number and I can't tell anybody about it because when I enter my phone number it says it is not an Alltel number!!!!  I can't access their online customer service without creating an account, which I cannot do without an Alltel number!!!!!   Does anyone have another number I can call to report this?  It has been going on for months, sometimes several times a day...

i recieved a call from this number telling me magazine subscription had expired i told the lady on the other end good i did not want any more magazines and she told me well i need your credit card number to cancel the subscritpion it has the same costumer service alert as two other phone numbers.
this is the first number they called from 1-402-835-0582 this is the number they gave for costumer service 1-888-301-4138 this is the last number i have recieved on there message list

Report suspected fraud to www.ftc.gov  www.IC3.gov and/or the fcc.  Don't be stupid and give your phone #, SSAN or other personal info to unknown, unsolicited callers.  There are lots of scammers out there.  Look it up on scopes.com or stopfraud.gov
