I know you probably have a lot on your plate your self but if you can help me my email is as tie_2007@yahoo.com...that man I spoke to and my mother he threatened and made her cry so I want something done about this. Thank you!
- Mythatha| 1 replyI have been verbally abused from employees at this company each and everyday.I am on SS disability and told one employees that. She replied really "YOU DON"T SOUND SICK". She said in a way I was a thief. She was a debt collector from hell.I spoke to someone else, who happened to be the only nice one.I told him my income and my bills to live.He accepted $20.00 per month.I asked him for a letter which I never received.I never received any letter from them at any time.Three days later another on called and I told him of the $20.00 per month. He laughed and said not acceptable.I go thru this every day with them.I even sent them a letter to stop calling my home. This or anything else means nothing to them. The last one who called yesterday said "WATCH WHAT HAPPENS NEXT"They truly are debt collectors from hell.I have nothing to give because I have nothing.Just my SS.If it came down to medicine, food, utilities, rent or them guess who wins.I hope one day they are not in the position. My disability is not a joke its serious, because I don't send it does not mean its not there.Even someone who may be dying still may have a strong voice.I will not be threatened by anyone.I will no longer take their calls. To date I never received any letter from them, stating who they are, where they are from. The first caller said the debt was $737.00 the other caller said $2,355.00.Something should be done about them. This is a form of harassment.

- JusAlittlefaithI recieve calls on a daily basic,I was about to send these crooks a check for $950.00 settlement amount they and I agree on until i decided to do some research because something just wasn't right.I was not surprise to see alot of people with the same complains.
So I called the person back and ask him to send me a letter stating that my account would be paid out when I mail the check .He stated I won't get a letter until they recieved the check first,I told him I would not send anything without a letter I could be sending my hard earn money to WHO?Anybody!!
Well I'm juming ound alittle but they also try to get me to gave they my checking account # so they could withdraw the money from my account.I told them repeatly I didn't have one and some one call back a few days later stated they had tried to withdraw money but there was not enough money in the account,I ask him how could you do this with a person permission and told him it wasn't my account anyway. So the calls continued.............................

- JusAlittlefaith replies to MythathaFirst, I am going to say I'm so sorry you and all the people who are being harass by this suppose to be law firm.I've been going through the very same thing and I refuse to send money I don't have in the first place, but I was just about to send money to get them off my neck until I checked them out and saw they had alot of complains from people with the same things happened to them, this can not be legal.one person who work with collection left a number for people who are recieving calls of this nature the # is 1-877-622-2658.I going to call it today to see if there anything that can be done. They call my home and cell every day,but when you my job they just drew the line. The only thing I ask for was a letter stating that the settlement agreement. But,they refused saying i won't recieved one until they got the check.Well.I don't have a money tree I can shake off $950.00 and just send it to GOD knows Who!!I'm going to be praying for Mr John C. - anonymous replies to Teresa| 1 replyThese people are a scam. This is how they work: they get into databases and find information (for ex: like the fact that you took out a payday loan in the past) then they call you up threatening lawsuits and sometiimes threaten to arrest you, and it isn't even your debt to begin with. They do this because there are a lot of people who hear lawsuit and just hand over money. Police officers do not show up at your house to arrest you for a credit card bill. Ok? The most that could happen is a garnishment, and if it is a garnishment you will be notified with a document that is signed by a judge. If you get a call from this person, this is what you do. Call the Bar Associatition and find out if they are a real attorney. Ask for them to provide documentation of the debt, if they cannot do this, then they are not legit. It's that simple. Research the law and research your rights. NEVER just blindly hand over money. NEVER!! Just a friendly person here to inform you. ;)
- Anonymous replies to anonymousIf you question that it is a scam. Call the MO Attorney General's Office. They have hundred of complaints. This man is a scam.
- jamesI'm an attorney in New Mexico. I practice only bankruptcy law.
Received a call from (505) 206-5063, a New Mexico area code. Caller stated she was with the law office of John Bonewicz and was calling concerning a mutual client, a Ms. C. I asked the woman if Ms. C. was a client of Attorney Bonewicz as there may be some ethical issues involved (a second attorney cannot contract with a party if the party already has an attorney, etc.). The woman at Bonewicz office stated no, there was no attorney / client relationship but that Bonewicz was collecting on a credit card debt owed by Ms. C. I don't think that established an attorney-client relationship but I'm not a Chicago collections attorney so I really can't say. I told the Bonewicz agent that I would not give her any information concerning my client, Ms. C, but that the caller may send a letter requesting information and I'll discuss the matter with my client. The Bonewicz agent said she would not do that. I said OK, good-bye.
Ten seconds later I receive a call from (800) 700-2106. I didn't answer (I don't answer toll-free calls).
The New Mexico telephone number provided by caller ID for Bonewicz is now blocked. I will file an FCC complaint. I am filing a complaint with the Illinois State Bar.
I tape record all my telephone calls. I suggest you, any of you, tell these (fill in nasty word here) that you record all your telephone calls. Make complaints to the FCC and to the various state bar association.
However, remember, the US Supreme Court several years ago held that collectors may lie at just about any level in an effort to get money out of you. Insert middle finger here.- Caller: Bonewicz Attorney

- WonderlandI received the notice from their office with this toll-free number on the letter just a few days ago. My question is, even if it is scam, does it also mean I DO have debt that needs to be collected?? Because I always paid all my cards, even if one or two past the due date, I always pay the balance off before the next statement. Is there anywhere to find out if I owe a debt that I might not be aware of? Thanks!

- mickey baxterI keep getting messages on my answering machine about a debt collection for someone who doesn't live with me and I'm not even related to. I called them and explained that over two months ago and it still keeps happening almost daily.

- frustatedthese people should not have access to our numbers at all. They call themselves federal management when they called.Someone should somthing to stop these kind of fraud people contacting us and harrassing us for nothing. May be the governor or state or federal should catch these people and lock them up. It is really disturbing when they harass you and yoru family and get all your personal info. Nobody should have acces to your personal info and no business bank or anyone should share your personal info to anyone without your permission. Maybe all these will stop. The cops should catch them for sure I hope so soon and put them behind bars forever.

- YULY & FLORMARIE VAZQUEZI am doing my research on creditors rights and the law. If you have sent a cease and desist letter to the collection agency and they continue to contact you then they can be finded for each time they make a contact to you. You must contact the correct party ( will look this info up ) and inform them. You have one year from the day that they make each phone call to take action. Keep all documents with dates and times and recorded phone conversations. There are laws and they can not continue to abuse us. No calls on Sundays. No calls after 8 pm during the week. No calls if they have been sent a cease and desist. Everything everyone has said on the blog has happened to me. I will not be harrased by this John C. Bonewicz. Harrasement is against the law.

- Debt Collector| 1 replyI have been a debt collector for the past 12 years and people only have bad things to say about us, we are paid to do a job, that is to collect on bad debt. Now i have witnessed very rude collectors however i believe you can catch more bees with honey so where i am firm in my request for payment i am not rude and don't believe a law firm would be stupid enough to break the FDCPA or allow employees to do so...The bottom line is this....You owe the money....pay up !!!!!
