This is a phishing scam and they'll even ask for your information to "remove" you from call list.

This is not Fifth Third Bank calling! IT IS A SCAM CALL!

We got so tired of this person calling my boyfriend finally answered, they were wanting to sign him up for a credit card (apparently he was pre approved for 0% apr wow! Yea...) he was trying to tell them to take him off from the list but the guy kept going on and on. My boyfriend asked them how they got this number and his information, they said because you are a fifth third bank customer! Neither of us are fifth third bank customers and the guys next excuse was well it must have been from the credit bureau! :S He then said he needed to verify some information and my boyfriend hung up on him! This is NOT fifth third bank!

They told my boyfriend to go to five3.com ... I don't know but either way, do not EVER give out your personal info over the phone, especially if someone you are unsure of.

This number has been showing up on our Caller ID for awhile, but the caller never leaves a message.  They called today and, out of curiosity, my husband answered.  They asked for me so he handed me the phone.  The man proceeded to tell me about a "Fifth Third" Rewards credit card with 0% introductory APR to which I could transfer credit card balances from other accounts.  (I put Fifth Third in quotes on purpose because I am SURE it is NOT Fifth Third Bank.  Fifth Third NEVER shows up on Caller ID as "5th 3rd Bank"!  It is ALWAYS spelled out in words.  Just seeing it that way looks fraudulent and raises suspicion in my mind.)  The man said he just needed to verify my address so he could send the card out to me.  I told him I don't do that over the phone and hung up.  I'm sure he would have tried to get as much confidential information from me over the phone as he could.

They go through cycles of calling every day for several weeks, but never leave a message. I'm blocking their #.
