the guy called & left this message yesterday, "Jennifer, ah-I like that name"
ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww...creepy much!? so I called them back today & told them to take me off their call list. yay! its over...or is it?

Called 5 times today between 9 am and 4 pm. About the same for the last week or so. Who the hell is it?

I answered and screamed in the handset very loudly. They haven't called back.

I called this number back 1-800-793-0282 and got some Education something.  I was like I have the wrong number and the guy was like are you sure you didn't miss a call from us today.. I was like no this is a company phone. But they keep calling my cell phone.

They keep calling me several time a day and I don't answer numbers I don't know.

Education Advantage (female caller)

This number calls upwards of 10 times a day.  I finally called them back, due to being SICK AND TIRED of the constant calls.  They never left a msg, nada.  So, I called them back, and a woman by the name of Margaret answered, stating that this was Education Services, or something like that.  I requested that she remove my number from their system.  After repeating my # 5 times, she got it, and thanked me for my time.  Seemed like a nice enough woman... however, as I said, I did have to repeat my # numerous times.  Oh well.  Hope the calls stop.  I have a recording of my request, so if they continue, I will pursue my legal rights... sending a letter, and all that good stuff.  I'm sure it won't come to that though.  It'd better not!

I turned on my husbands fax machine on them. lol

Doesn't answer, no voicemail...very annoying, this is a cell phone quit wasting my time and money

These people call all the time from different numbers saying things about education. I hate them. I ask everytime to be taken off of their list and still I get these random calls.

This number calls me 6-8 times a day and I don't answer. They never leave a message but won't stop calling. Please report them

The name of the company is Education Advance. It is a free service that matches people up with degree programs. If this is not something that you are interested in, they don't want to spend their time calling you anyway. They have nothing to gain by continuing to call people that have already expressed a disinterest. I understand the tendency to get annoyed when an unknown # calls. But they are a legitimate business, providing a useful service to those wanting to further their education. The best way to address the problem is to be careful about the information you submit on the internet, and answer the phone when they call.

hey get a life why dont whoever ownes this number also use the do not call list I had to renew mine just now seems it expires and you have to do the drill again at least we have internet to fight back with think if we had to find out on our own I did appreciate this option of finding out telemarketers SUCK I mean if your sick and dont need anoying calls this is a shame also what if your waiting on a life and death call and this comes in its like junk mail we pay for our service and there should be something the telephone companies could do to stop this like junk mail If I wanted it Id ask for it but I didnt and dont if the govt can sneak your phone call then they can stop these issues "Yes Im Crazy but that just makes sense"

I've received a call from this number and the lady was asking for a Tim which no one by that name lives here and it sure isn't his phone. I told them that they had the wrong number which they did. If they keep calling here again, I will do what I did to the last person that kept harassing me. I will contact their telephone provider and report them. The last person that kept harassing me, I contacted their service provider and haven't heard back from them since then. Alot of people doesn't know our number and I don't go spreading it on the internet so they couldn't have found the number by me.

I called the number (from another phone, not cell number) and asked for my number to be removed from this company's lists and database. I was told that my number would now be suppressed from any additional calling. We'll See!

I'm in southern New Jersey. I'm a business owner and ALWAYS give the business number as my contact number. The number being called is unlisted. It is NEVER given as the contact number. The first call from 800-793-0282 was Fri. 9/12/08 am. I answered it that once to a far-east accented female voice asking for Libby who was claimed to have requested an educational packet. I told her there is no Libby, that this was a private number and told her to immediately remove it from their call list. It is now Sat. evening 9/13/08 - there have been seven more calls since the initial one!

Someone else has signed me up on a webform to recieve phone calls like this one. Was able to get the email and Ip address of the jerk who did it by talking to the people calling. Have filed complaints with FTC and local law inforcement. And working with Comcast's security assurance dept to track down the scum bag doing this.

ya you must have filled out a survey i filled it out and the day after i got the calls sounds like a scarey movie lol
