Recorded message. Began on my VM with " ... pending. Please call (800) 817 8565... " then message repeats. Someone states that he is from Bridgeport Financial and that there is an important matter pending, and to call this number. No further data/

I just got a voice mail from that number with that message from Bridgeport Financial.  I called back, and a man said I had an outstanding balance with my hospital that would lower my credit rating by 100 points--did I want to take care of it right now.  Sounded fishy; I don't give out any information to someone who calls me out of the blue and I said I would check with the hospital and call him back, then he gave me a different number to call him back.  My hospital says my account is at zero.  I belong to LifeLock and called them immediately to look into this matter.  I had my identify stolen years ago, and it was a nightmare; there are many more scans around today.  All I can say is be very cautious about requests for information of any kind.

I received a very abrupt voice message from a man saying, "This is Bridgeport Financial and there is an urgent matter ...you need to call back immediately at 800-817-8565" I called and the person asked me for my phone number. He then said that I owed Mills Hospital for a chest Xray I got in 2003! I said, "I never had a chest Xray and that's 8 years ago!" he said, "it doesn't matter, you never paid and they want their money!" I said, "I've been scammed like this before" and he hung up.

I just got exactly the same message. What the heck is this? The tone is very arrogant and rude. Yeah right like i'm calling you back!!

They just called me Roger Richport from Bridgepoint.  They are trying to collect on old debit from hospitals... read the book DEBIT CURES, don't let them scare you.  YOU have right and debit in certain state are considers no long and you can get it removed from your credit report, depending on what your state say.  If its old I wouldn't sweat it

I've got the same message! The one thing I am comfused about is who is this caller? How do they know our phone number?

I get messages from this number all the time. The person demands that I call Bridgeport Financial to take care of an urgent matter. I do not know this so called, Roger, who calls me at least once a week. It is terribly annoying.
