Called asking for me by name and just left a number to call back. I have no clue what they want. Have never dealt with Fireside. Was told to call Molly at ext. 42129. But the caller ID number was from Arizona.

First call today. Quick call, blurted out something, mentioned Fireside, her name and extention (Fredrica 43121), then hung up.  I paid off my car loan from my Credit Union about a month ago, was never late in a payment.  I'm sure it's a scam.  Even if they were trying to sell something they would have given me some reason I should call back.

I must echo many of the complaints here. I have a loan through Fireside and they are, without a doubt, the rudest, most incompetent company I have ever dealt with. Although I pay on time (sometimes a day or two before my due date) they start calling me the day after my due date. Sometimes 10 or more times a day! They call from several different numbers, and the callers are all very rude and threatening. When I explain that I've already made the payment, they insist that they have not received it and demand payment over the phone. I've filed complaints with the company, with the FTC, and with the BBB. I'm now just ignoring their calls. You just don't treat your customers this way, especially in this economy. They don't want to work with you--they want to harrass you.

I'm just 17 days late on my car payment and explained to them that I could do a post dated check for 06/26/2009 and they are telling me that they can't work nothing up with me because I'm always late. I only owe them the late payment of $346.00 and they are telling me that they are just going to repo my car. I told them to go ahead and do whatever they want...I just don't care. I'm trying to pay them and they just don't want to work with me. I explained the situation with my work hours changing and they just don't care. They are so rude. Please don't ever deal with this company. They also call before you being late on your car payment to remind you that you're late when it has not been over 10 days....

Whomever said just pay your bill is an idiot. I don’t even have a car loan; Fireside calls my number looking for someone who previously used my phone number. I have called repeatedly and asked for them to stop calling me. They tell me they are taking me off the list but it never happens. Just now the lady working accused me of lying and either being the person who they are looking for or a relative of them. I have placed my phone number on the national no call list and it has not phased them so it is illegal to call me, It is also illegal to call relatives (in the state of California), and they record you when you call which is also illegal. Someone should put a stop to this…

The person calls, asks for me and then tells me someone listed me as a reference. I did not know the people that he mentioned and I wanted to get some additional information and as soon as I asked a question they hung up.

Got a phone call from this number and all that was asked was "what is your address?"  I asked who is this, and they said non of your concern and hung up the phone.  I google searched and got Fireside bank in CA, and a Bank of America in seattle, WA.  I do not bank with either of those banks, nor do I have loans through those banks.

I answered my husbands phone while at the DR. office and a man asked to speak to my husband. I asked him who was calling and he said his name was J.C I then asked what co. he was calling from and when he said Fireside I knew something was up. So I asked what it was regarding and he said "Woah you ask alot of questions!" I told him that he was being evasive with his one word answers and he started to yell at me! If you recieve any calls from Fireside Do Not give them any information!!!!

they call me every day, and every time i tell them that the person they are trying to reach no longer has this number i have no idea who it is. or how they can get ahold of them, its a pre paid phone.

The are the most uncompassionate bank I have every dealt with, they don't care about anyone but themselves.  The don't work with anyone!!!

I do not answer 800 calls.

I dont even have car payments we own our 3 cars outright so WTF are they so bored at work they just pick random ppl to call. Get a clue [***]

I reversed the number and found it was from Fireside Bank - he was rude and tried to come off as
a know it all - they are very agressive and I would recommend if they are calling your place of employment
to ask for the call to be recorded and clearly state that you do not wish to be harassed at your place of employment. Then proceed to report them to BBB. Remember it wasn't always like this for you and things will get better. Have faith...Good Luck

I had car financed thru Fireside Bank about 4 yrs ago. That was the time i was in college. Anyways, while in school i lost my job and wasn't able to pay for the car so i told them to come and pick up the car to have it repoed. Now they found me 4 yrs later, and start harrasing me again and even at work they've been calling. This so called Mr. Mustafa, is threatning me with various different scare tactics. One of them is that if i didn't pay what was owed to them, which is now $14k (the original loan amount was $10k), that he will get the Sheriff involved and start the legal process to garnish my wages from my employment.

Does anyone know if they can even do that to me? Any help would be good. I'm the only source of income between my wife and I, and we have a baby on the way.

Let me add to your accurate information.  I do not have marginal credit, however, someone with rather bad credit put my name down as a reference and they have harassed me trying to find the person with bad credit.  I have told them to stop calling me, but unsuccessfully.  Good grief, calling me is NOT going to get their money, but I will be blocking their number as I have received 2 calls in two days.

Got a call at work last week from this jerk Mr. Mustafa. He was rude from the very beginning. He used tons of scare tactics and started to make lots of comments about my personal life and my spouse being a flake and not helping out with bills and avoiding child support. I continue to tell him over and over again that I was NOT going to discuss my personal life with him and if we could just stick to the matter at hand. He continued to be very rude and mentioned the Sheriff's office over and over again and about paycheck garnishment which I know he can't do, already called my HR. Does he not know you attract more bees with honey than you do with rudeness? Anyone who gets a call from him ask to have someone else handle your case. Or ask to speak to his manager, he doesn't like that and will probably hang up on you like he did me. Good luck and don't fall prey to him like I did.

Duh, you are an idiot.  If there are payments owed fine. We have never done any kind of business with these vultures.  We have payments that are on auto withdrawal from the actual financial institutions we do work with.  Condescending [***].

This is not a criminal thing. If they are calling you and telling you that they are going to get a sheriff involved they are lying. The only thing a sheriff would do is serve you civil papers for a law suit. You need to report them to your attorney general. What they are doing is against the collector rules.
