I just received a call from "Jill" identifying herself with Amsher and asked to speak to my husband. She wouldn't give me any information, saying it was a personal business matter and that it would be illegal to tell me.  She wanted his number but I told her I wouldn't give it to her.  She gave me a number of 205-313-2640 to have him call her back.  What's with them calling MY cell?

They call every day and never leave a message. Caller Id 1 800 844-5279. Think that we all could hold our phone companies responsible for helping stop these scams ie Bogus Collectors scams .

Never answer their calls they are bunch of scums. They called me serveral times and I paid an OLD balance I owed Tmobile. I paid them using CC and I ended up paying the amount twice coz they charged me two different times and when I talked to them I rejected it. I had to talk to my bank.

These people should never be trusted even if you owe anyone a shitt dont pay to Amshere or you will regret. after paying they still report to the credit agencies that I will owe them I talked to them many times but I never found responsible person on their end of them line. They hung on you all the time. am honest about it.

AMSHER NEVER PAID WITHOUT GETTING A RECEIPT . I PAID MY SETTLEMENT OF $900.OO AND THEY WERE NEVER ABLE TO PROVIDE ME WITH A RECEIPT. AMSHER IS STILL ON MY CREDIT REPORT AND IS STILL CALLING ME EVERYDAY. THAT COMPANY SUCKS AND NEEDS TO HARRASS PEOPLE....I AM STILL IN AND ABOUT TO TAKE THEM TO COURT ....

so tired of these clowns calling me every day...as a pay back just have your family,friends,facebook friends and everyone on this site flood them with calls several times a day.....when they answer the phone ,say nothing until they hang up....LETS DRIVE THEM CRAZY.

I received several calls from this number, maybe once a week, with no message left until today. I'd Googled the number before but hadn't been bothered enough by the calls to do anything about it. The message stated they were looking to collect a debt for a man who is not at this number (and I've had the same number for 9 years).

Rather than calling the 800 number back, I called the main AmSher office number (205-322-4110) and spoke with an agent about the problem. She confirmed that they had my number down for that customer. I told her that I had also received calls from a local medical center business office for him last year and she confirmed that was who the debt was owed to. (I'd actually called the medical center back to get my number off his account, but apparently they failed to do so before selling the debt.)

She told me that they'd remove my number from his account and to call back and ask for her specifically if I receive any more calls. She was pleasant and helpful and only had to confirm my phone number, not my name or SSN. So, if you're getting calls for someone else at your number, just call AmSher back at their main office and nicely explain the situation.

calls 2-3 times a day- very rude & will NOT stop calling!  says it's a debt collection & wont tell me what the "debt" is for.. ??

Contacted Amsher on July 2,2013 to inquire about information on credit report. Spoke with Monique Patrick. She gave me a call back number of 1-800-844-5279 Ext.281. On July 9, 2013 I tried calling Monique when I entered the EXT. number I received a message that the customer hung up which was not true.
