The Caller ID said "Toll free CA" and the phone number on caller ID said 1-800-869-3557.  I refused to answer the phone so they left a pre-recorded message on my answering machine.  The message said that fraudulent unauthorized charges had been made using my husband's debit card and to call them at phone number 1-877-294-6933 which they claim is Wells Fargo card services.  And then they said that I could also call the phone number on the back of my debit card which they said was 1-800-869-4557.  That WAS the phone number on the back of my debit card so I called the number on the back of my debit card.  The person at Well's Fargo checked our account and said that no fraudulent unauthorized charges had been made to our account and the bank had not sent us any messages about our debit card being cancelled or any new card coming in the mail.  He said it was a phishing scam.  Then he went on to try to sell me more of their "products" and claiming that I should open up a savings account in case I tried to withdraw more money from my account than we had in it via check, debit card, etc.  I said no...I have never bounced a check in my life and I didn't want to hear any more of his trying to sell me on opening up more accounts or any other services.  I never have more than the bare minimum in my checking account there because I'd prefer not to support them financially at all because I disapprove of their giving money to promote GLBT organizations....which I refuse to support.  I wouldn't have any account there at all if I could find a credit union or other organization that doesn't financially support organizations and causes that I pay money to fight against.  But I need to have an account where I can withdraw money from my account from a teller machine for free almost anywhere in the USA...and that is the only reason I have an account with them at all.  If I could find that service at a good credit union or other business that doesn't waste money donating money to organizations that many people are opposed too...I would close my account at Well's Fargo ASAP.  Some day (when I retire) I will.

Wells Fargo reminding me to activate my new debit card

called me to verify my account wanted my phone number but he alreadyhad my ssn and dob i asked why he needed my number when he just called me?  thought it was strange so i checked my account and the username and password were changed so i called the bank immediatly.  i guess it was close to being all transferred out. but it was prevented.

It is my business and pleasure to ask for your kid.  But this was back in 2008, so I think she is 18 now.  So never mind.

Caller ID says Wells Fargo but caller claims he is from Dell saying my IP Address is compromised.. The thing is he called me by my partners name who has recently had new credit, but the IP Address is not in his name... TOTAL SCAMMER!!! WATCH OUT FOR THIS ONE!!!

This person called and says he was from Wells Fargo . He said somebody was trying yo use my ATM in Orlando, Fl. He was going to cancel this charge. but need me to identify by repeating a code he texted me. Also, he gave me an ID number J930872WF

Received a text to verify card activity on a card # we don't have. Asked to call this number if not valid.

Caller ID says Wells Fargo Bank. Call the number back they told me it was a scam don't give out your information

Had a voice mail on this number from “Rebecca” to call back.  Called the number and got a very nice person who passed me to another person after I smelled my last name for them.  The new person asked for my account number so I hung up.  Checked this phone number on a Google search and came across this web site with this number listed.  Yikes!

this call came in at 8:45 am on 2/18/19  President's day... the banks are closed.  The recording said it was was from Wells Fargo and that my account would be placed on hold if i did not call and verify my card number
Fortunately, I did not carry my wallet in to work with me ... because I asked they find my account by my name and and SS # but they said I was not in the system... so I knew something was wrong.  Looking back I should have not used my SS number stupid.

Got a call from someone saying they are from wf asked if i was the person they  wanted if so press 1 i did got a dail tone rings again same question dailed 1 again dail tone again rings again did not answer

Got a call from this number today and when I answered, no one was on the line...  Called Wells Fargo and the young man I spoke with said that there is a lot of spoofing of that number...

Caller ID said Wells Fargo, but no one responded to several hellos.  Like the others, I DO NOT have Wells Fargo anything.Thanks for the other inputs.  SCAM suspected.

Received call in Florida showing CID Info 800-869-3557. Answered to a prerecorded message / robocall / live tele-scammer calling as 'Sarah Chello with account holder services' of course she hung up when asked contact questions.
