- jenniferi have received 3 calls already today and it is only 12:00 - they dont leave a message because in Massachusetts if they leave a message it constitutes a contact and they can only contact your home twice per week and employment once per month. i am researching if it is considered harrasment even if they dont leave a message as it is ridiculous to call every hour
- stevecalled 8:20am left no message

- MooseIf you owe the money...pay the debt. If you can't pay the debt all at once, tell them you'll agree to pay $1.00 per month. They have to agree to that. It is an attempt to pay the debt. They will try to make you pay more... pay over the phone via credit card (ironically!) or over the phone by ETF. Don't fall for it. Tell them that like many other people in this country at this time, you are far behind in all your bills and this is the best you can and WILL do. Do not alter from your stance, as they will threaten you with credit reporting agencies and legal action. It will cost them more to take you to court than to accept the money you're offering. If they become persistent, or don't agree to your terms, tell them that they will be receiving a check for $1.00, wish them a pleasant day and hang up.
Much like time share and used car salespeople, they're game is pressure. Don't be afraid of these people...be as rude and aggressive as they are. Also, realize all the while, that litigation costs money...theirs, and they don't want that...they want to pressure you to pay, and they're willing to wait. They just don't want to. Pay it slow...make 'em wait!
Also remember, the people from whom the original debt was incurred have been paid by Solomon and Solomon at pennies on the dollar for your "bad debt", so don't feel any guilt for the person/company of original debt...they've settled their losses.- Caller: Solomon and Solomon, PC
- KHEMI answered the phone for this call. There was a long silence, then an automated voice asked if I was (name withheld for privacy reasons). I said nothing and listened to see who the caller was, as I intended to confront them to have my phone number removed from their calling list, as I am not the requested person. The voice then said, "If you are not (person's name), please hang up." Noreal person came on line, but I could hear the clicks as they were trying to hang up the phone. I called the number back several times, but no responding answering person, service or phone mail came up (all very mysterious).
- Jen in NYI was sued by this firm over old credit card debt. I hired a consumer debt defense attorney in Buffalo and we easily beat their case saving me thousands of dollars. If you are contacted or sued by them, get help. I know people who didn't and now they are having their wages and bank accounts frozen.

- MoMOK - Solomon and Solomon or Solomon PC. Very strange as I do not have any debt, cannot find anything on my credit report, have been getting these calls since applying for jobs on suspicious job sites on line - NEVER again - and 'Company Confidential' on job sites - NEVER again - and will NOT take responsibility for ANY childrens or relatives debts. This is also annoying as they call when I am not at home, nor do they leave any message. 'Toll Free Call' and 'Unavailable' calls as well as out of state calls not recognized will NOT EVER be answered.

- barbarai owe nobody anything and resent this company, whoever they are. they can call all they want and waste every penny. i don't owe it and i'm not picking up.
- Not JeffreyReceived a harassing call (as a first contact) looking for "Jeffrey" -- I assume this is Jeffrey Hockenberry who sometimes the Post Office still delivers mail to this address from time to time.
When I instructed the woman not to call any longer and to remove this number from her database, she said she would not. I hung up on her, and logged the call as harassment.- Caller: Solomon

The ONLY WAY these kinds of calls will EVER stop is if, as a group in each state, LOBBY the lawmakers and representatives.
IF enough people complain about:
1. Spoofed Caller ID by collection companies or,
2. The inability to speak to a live person when being called, (in some cases), or,
3. Being Called several mes a day, week or month. (Collection agencies should NOT be able to call more than once a month). Why? This is very likely the interval that was agreed to when making payments. In other words, if you agree to pay once a month, you should NOT be called more than once a month to be reminded that you owe money. or,
4. A BIG ONE: being called by more than ONE company for ONE debt. This happens when the original creditor sells the debt to a collection company that also sells the debt. OR,
5. sending a letter in writing to STOP all CALLING, and forcing them, AND any other company that buys the debt must also comply.
UNLESS a large enough group of people complain to those in power, NOTHING will change. COMPLAIN to your State's Representatives. NOTHING ELSE WILL MATTER, because collection companies don't get punished, even when they break the rules, or laws regarding collection practice. OUR "GOVERNMENT" looks the other way.
BUT: when banks or auto makers screw up, and can't pay bills, our "Government" steps in and helps them. The message? If you are a big enough screw up, you get bailed out, and rewarded. The little guy?, NOTHING.- Caller: Solomon and Solomon

- CFWContinuous annoying calls all hours of the day and night. Am on the National Do Not Call Registry and it still persists! Take their phone away! Very frustrated!
Spoke to these people and told them I was not the person they were looking for and they still keep calling! The person at Soloman & Soloman, Albany NY., was very obnoxious!- Caller: Soloman & Soloman PC

- K.H.I push the talk button on my phone and push it again to hang up on them without saying anything. I hope it piss them off as much as them calling my house multiple times for absolutely no reason pisses me off. It's become a game with them. I think I have more longevity than they do and will hold out until they quit calling, because all these type of businesses will eventually quit calling. :)
- BobThis is a debt collector after a stepson who moved out 5 years ago but still uses my phone number & address. 5 months ago was able to talk to someone and tell them he's been gone for 5 years. Calls with recorded options for paying my debt continue 5-6 times a day.
Today I called them back at this number. It gets answered by a recording that goes into an endless loop of options for me to choose. I just set the phone down and let it keep offering me choices (using my land line.) Last time it lasted 54 minutes, but the phone battery was low. Just called them on a different phone and it's been keeping them tied up for 15 minutes so far. I'll see how long this one can go on.
It would be nice if LOTS of other people could do the same thing. :-)- Caller: Solomon

- bettyI got a call from this number at 8a.m. regarding my mother's "personal business." I am the Power of Attorney for my mom and have been doing her "business" for two years. I have never heard of Solomon, my mom is 91 years old and I told them not to call me or my mom anymore. They wanted the POA documents to be faxed to them! I told them "no way" and they graciously said goodbye.

- S.B. replies to Sleaze buckets!Yes, this is a collection agency, the third one who bought my debt from Verizon. They sent me a letter, to "introduce" themselves, lol. I do owe Verizon for the debt, but I'll be damned if I deal with a second, third or fourth party to make payment arrangements. They always use the 800 #, and unfortunately valid, important companies I deal with use a variety of toll free numbers as well. I had to make a list of "good" numbers to make sure I don't pick up the call from these scum suckers. The first woman I spoke with was very nasty from the start. I finally told her not to call any more, and that I'd deal with Verizon directly. Then they started to call at least 4 times daily, one time at 9AM PST, on a Sunday!
They never tell you who they are, but it's about a "confidential and urgent matter", I even said a few times, "she's not here, I'll take a message", and the a**hole asks me "are you ---------?" I said "why?" and she warned me the call is being monitored and recorded. I told her, unless she identifies herself I will not tell her anything. Good that you told her you'd check with Verizon. I know it's a fact that our debts are sold to these jerks, but, I refuse to deal with them. They are now letting my phone ring up until the ring that my machine picks up! If I grab the phone and say "hello" they slam down the phone. I hope they rot in hell. I had already told Verizon my situation and worked out an arrangement. - TomCalled several times - answered finally to tell them to stop. Automated message looking for someone that does not live here. Pressed 2 as instructed and just a void!

- JenI have had great success in getting these guys to stop calling me. When I see an 800/888/866 number calling, I answer the phone "US Attorney's Office. How may I direct your call?" POOF - gone for good.
