Did not recognize the number when it called. Caller ID said "Toll Free." Ran the number and Xcel Energy came up. Called Xcel to ask if it had called me for any issue. It had not. Told the call center rep some [***] is spoofing its 800 number.

This was a service call from Xcel letting me know that KS Energy will be using cameras to inspect sewer lines in my area and there will be no charge.

Hello.  This is a message from Xcel Energy.  We are aware that an electric outage may be impacting your 2807 location.  At this time we are assessing the situation and do not have a restoration time.  We will work as quickly and as safely as possible to determine the reason for this interruption to your service.  We will contact you with updated information as soon as it is available.  We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.  Goodbye.  (There was no outage earlier this week here.  There was one earlier in the month which kept us posted on a restoration time.  This sounded very strange.

Called my store 3 times today when I answered they just hung up.

called my phone at 6 AM, caller ID said unknown....I did not answer...no message left, when I googled the number Excel Energy listed....

Actually all fine.  Had a nice conversation with a foreign sounding fella, turns out I was a finalist for a very good real estate opportunity in Peru.  All I had to do was give some basic banking info and they are sending me next steps via FedEx.

This number called about a disconnect from Xcel Energy. I hung up and called Xcel Energy. My balance is $0. And the lady said this number is for customers to call only and
Xcel energy never makes outbound calls from this number.  She told me to report it to police and block phone number.

I answered and they hung up. The call came in on a Saturday afternoon. Xcel Energy has a webpage explaining how you can tell a call is a scam. They say that they do not call customers on weekends or evenings.

called around 2pm MST today  (friday) . they left a message indicating inspections to poles that would not cause an outage. i happened to see a guy around the side of my house earlier this morning who was wearing a yellow vest but disappeared when i went to ask if he needed something. no vans or works trucks around. weird.

Called my mother's phone. No message. Blocked and reported to the call screening service. It seems like all the calls that other people have reported as legit,are probably NOT LEGIT. Just changing their scam tactics. If XCel said they don't make outgoing calls from that number.

Claims to be Xcel, had my name (one I havent used in 10 years) and address (bill is not in my name), and said our service was set for disconnection (bill is current). Hung up when I said they were a scam.

Just received a call from Xcel Energy saying my service would be disconnected & to press one to connect to a representative. Needless to say I hung up as we have not had Xcel service since 2007. They can go ahead & disconnect service as it’s no longer where I live. Scan for sure!!!!
