I just received a call from them. Googled the number, found this page and read everyone's comments. So I called them back. Woman was very nice (at first!) and said that it was a hospital bill for $x from 2006. I said that all bills should be referred to my lawyer, as this is part of a lawsuit. And that's when nice lady became not so nice. She starts saying stuff like "how can an accident from over two years ago still be pending?" and "you signed a contract...must pay now...blah blah". I told her to please stop talking and let me give her the lawyer's information. She tried to interrupt me again, and I just said, "Stop. I am not going to discuss this further. My lawyer's contact is xxxx." I said that any further inquiries into any bills should be directed to him. And I hung up.

Yeah, I could totally see how someone could get sucked into their threats. :-(

My mother received a letter from Rubin and Raine for a hospital bill that is about a decade old, and she said she is sure she paid it, but she keeps getting harassing calls from them anyway. The number that calls her is 866-350-5482. Well they found her home number, and what is totally weird is that they some how got her cellular phone number as well. In addition, someone from Rubin & Raine called her cell today being extremely rude. Ironically, an attorney friend called them back while blocking the number from my mother’s house, and told them to cease and desist the harassment. About two minutes later, some guy called from blocked number and asked for my name. My last name is different from my mother’s, and I have no idea how they knew my first and last name. This  guy (from Rubin and Raine) accused me of posing as the attorney and started telling me I was full of crap and was no attorney, so I handed the phone to our attorney and the guy hung up. This sort of harassment should be illegal, and I wish all the youtube prank callers had Rubin and Raine’s phone numbers so they could call them and give them some of their own medicine.

this is crazy.  if they are a professional company, THEN LEAVE A DAMN "HUMAN" MESSAGE and not a stupid pre-recorded one...."if this is not so and so--BLAH, BLAH, BLAH......".  

i just ignore them and will wait until they call with a real message---

I got a call from Ruben and Raines.  After listening to their message and finding these posts, I called them back.  I told them that there was no one by the name they asked for at the number they called, and they asked me for the number.  I gave it to them, along with the name, and they told me they would remove it.  So far, it's been as simple as that.

I have been recieving calls from Rubin and Raine and yes when I need to speak to the one in charge the repersentatives say that Paul or Eric are not available. SO then i ask for just a supervisor and the rep I've been speaking to gets just another repersentative I have already spoke to a week before who could not solve my problem. I guess there is just 4 people working in the office becuase I spoke to all 4 of them and of course I still have not spoke to Eric or Paul. Oh Eric is no longer at the offiCE. I will not give them a penny expecially since the "MAN" in  charge can not even take my call.

I too was contacted numerous times by this company in regards to a hospital bill for my mother.  I had the pleasure of dealing with Mary, who was very nice, but seemed drunk that day too.  Eventually, all worked out in the end, and the bill was in error.  After reading the other posts, thinking there is a lot types of screwing around going on at this place.  AMAZING!!!!

They called my cell phone several, I just ignore it.

Merl would frequently sit in the break room at Rubin & Raine and rub olive oil on his rectum.  It used to piss a lot of people off.  Really made it messy and stinky in there!!  I think he has left Rubin and Raine and now makes his living knocking on Tards heads (Which he calls therapy) and putting on homo-erotic mid life plays.

I saw Merl once on the Discovery Channel. He was on with some young boy cooking Johnny cake on a hot griddle. While Merl cooked the recipe, the young boy sat in the background, wiggled his butt, rolled his eyes and sang the song Pour Some Sugar On Me. It was really strange and disturbing. I hope they don't rerun it!

You know, Merl and his wife have created a new line of scented douches.  They change the aroma of a womens slimey unwashed crack from one of dead fish and stinky ass to one of old spam and dirty feet!  "A BIG IMPROVMENT" if you ask me!!!

Rubin & Raine is a collection agency. Even after paying a hospital bill in full they sent me a collection notice. They called my home using the number 1 800 899-7246 from August 2011 until February 2012 with a recording that I call 732 676-9408 to confirm that my name and number in their records is correct. I never called them back.
