It's funny because they send text messages with their return location blocked out for you to call 1-800-920-0482(it's a pager).

They are very aggressive with their calls.

This is a teli scamer saying I have a tax refund of 129.50 they want to transfer these funds electronically. They use...http://x.co/6n571 as a link to deposit my supposed refund.

i receive at least 5 calls a day from this number 210-767-6264, which tells me to call back to 800-920-0482.  I do not know why or how my number is being chosen to be called!  I am fed up with the phone calls!

They are even calling me at my job.  What can I do to stop this.  Not sure who the company is because I have not returned any of their calls.  This has got to stop.

This is a credit service and they may be calling to attempt to collect on a debt. It is illegal for them to call your employer if they "know they are doing it" so if you tell them that they are doing so they will stop or risk a legal suit, but they will play dumb. They may call your manager, if that happens call them back and tell them that the number they called is your manager and you will consult with legal counsel if it happens again.

So.....is this legit or not?  I'm getting the same calls, and now they've started calling the school where I teach.

Several people, both here and at 800notes (https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-800-920-0482) have indicated that this is a collection attempt. The link provided goes to GM Financial, which I have to assume is the financing arm for GM vehicles. So, I guess the first question is, "Do you have a loan with them?"
If you do, then this is an original creditor and your protections are limited in 45 states. If you don't, then you will need to send them a "not me" letter by certified, return receipt mail.

prended to be social security. this is fraud. they aren't socail security. it is incredibly illegal to pretend you are a goverment branch. reason is for call: saying we need to chaing your social security number

I have never taken a lone nor do I own a car
I would not trust the claim that they are GM
they pretended to be social security when calling me and wanted me to change my SS number
it's definitely a scam caller

My post was made last year. This year they are running a different scam. I never said that they were GM calling. You need to read the post and all the other posts to understand what was going on. This is not about a "lone" but at that time they were calling about "loans" and trying to collect debts.

Kept calling me over and over again while I was in the doctors office.
