I forgot to mention this... they DO NOT need your permission to call if you're a sub. They assume you want the calls. If you do not want the calls you can call the sub company and tell them not to call you, or you can tell them to call you later in the morning. OR you can change the times and features yourself on the website.

What does preferred sub mean?  I thought, it was you were being asked to sub for a job you are qualified for and the person you are subbing for wanted you  in the job.Why do you not get a call?  I have looked in my e-mail when someone has requested me and the job is gone and I haven't had a call, this has happened twice. So, why list the five selected for the job you are posting when you don't get a call?  C2T9

hey Ted (Oct 13) and A.I (Oct 30) - thank you.  I'm changing careers and am a brand new substitute teacher.  Both of you give me hope that I'm going to succeed! Why?.... b/c ya'll are about as stupid as can be.
Ted - maybe call your school district instead of posting your date here. This website has absolutely nothing to do with YOUR district.
A.I. (artificial intelligence) - If you're a substitute, maybe you WANT calls so you can actually work.

My husband is listed with aesop as a substitute and he used to get calls all the time.  Then he stopped working for a while but is still listed to sub but now that he can work they are not calling at all and now he can't even get a job online.  When he accepts a job that is listed he gets a message saying sorry but this job has already been asigned to another to another substitute or your services are no longer needed for this job.  Then there is no one to talk to to find out what is going on.  Is this happening to anyone else???

My 15 year old son is getting calls from this number.  Mostly in the middle of the night, but today at 4 p.m.  He's a student and has never applied for any teaching position.  I'll try the website suggestion.

I get this call starting 5pm on Sundays. Until I press"2" it keeps calling all through the night. I sent an email asking this mess to stop. Hopefully this will stop.

I am a substitute and recently our school syst. went to an automated dialing system, I didn't realize that was the number they were calling me from so , I didn't take call , but instead came here to see who it was, so now 2 times -once last evening and this morning I missed working opportunities, if you are getting called from them then email and get your number removed. I have since added them to my cell so I will know in future- and answer my phone

I am so furious about this stupid 1-800-942-3767 phone number.  My phone rings all hours of the night and day from this number.  I called verizon wireless and they can't block it because it is a 1-800 number.  Whoever has initiated these phone calls needs to have legal action taken against them.

Being called at 4:30 a.m. is not kind, especially when the system had called the previous evening and we had selected "no."  And, if one calls the number, one is caught in computer-voice hell - no way to get to a real, live, human being who can be of help!  This system is badly in need of revamping, so people are not indiscriminately called at all hours, or called at all!!!!
